Just redworms slow rolled on the bottom. We put about 1/4 splitshot about 10 inches above the hook and just cast that and let it fall. If they domt hit it sinking we retrieve it realy slow and they hammer it off the bottom.

We fished pretty hard this year because the season got started about the same time Covid shut everything down...I caught 140 of those this year...I dont expect I shall see another season like it until I retire which will be never.

In the spring....steelhead/ salmon eggs. Rivercured eggs. And eggs. Did I mention eggs?

Towards the end of spawn a single bead(imitates a single egg)or a fly drifted on a 3 way rig works well too.

But when they are spawning they will hit eggs over anything else.
