Perimeter trail mostly. Only the second time I’ve ever been out.

    Lots, straight from the factory.
This was yesterday. Schnebly Hill Road.

Took the drive up Schnebly Hill Road from Sedona to I-17. The road has absolutely zero technical challenges. It’s bumpy and beats the hell out of you the whole trip. It is heavily trafficked with Jeep tours and tourists that rented SxS’s. The views are great, but too much traffic with people who shouldn’t be driving off road.

Yes 2WD can do it easily, mostly all fireroad, some sections narrow and a bit loose, just take it nice and easy.

    Have fun !

East Beach Sand Trail, Rhode Island. Pretty much about the only spot to off-road in the state. Beach access is closed to vehicles during the summer months. Should be more fun in a few a months when we can drive on the beach.

Funny, I was just reading about this today!
I was looking for places in CT to explore and the East Beach Trial came up in RI. LOL
Can you camp on the beach?

Yes you can camp there, however there are some regulations. You'd still need to purchase a beach barrier pass for the vehicle, and being from out of state it would be $200 fee. The camper must be fully enclosed:
All camping units must be self-contained AND equipped with 4 wheel drive. A self contained unit is defined as “A camping unit which contains permanent holding tanks for potable water, grey water and black water. The bathroom unit must be permanently fixed to the unit”
    http://www.crmc.ri.gov/offroadvehicles/BeachesTrails_RegsInfo.pdf
If you were just looking to take your truck there I'm still not sure it would be worth the amount for passes. You still need a state beach parking pass $14 daily rate or $60 for the summer, and then the beach barrier pass (which there is rumored to be a 3 day pass for $40, otherwise it would be $200 for the year). During the summer you can't actually drive on the beach, after labor day you can drive on the beach though. If you're into bird watching then this is an amazing place. I've seen people walking the 2+ miles on the beach with gear.

Thanks for the information. Definitely does not sound worth it, will stick to the Pine Barrens for all my beach driving fun.

    Finally got to Moab!:curls:
Have been probably 30 times over the past 25 years but this is the first time I didn’t bring one of my bikes:bikewheelie2: (dirt & mountain bikes)
Did Fins and Things and some other smaller loops around the area:cool:
Was with extended family so nothing super crazy (to some this is super crazy considering some of the families reactions!) Plus I need to get armor. Scraped the hitch several times along with the mudflaps, popped one off a couple of the bolts that attach it, and tapped the exhaust once.
Truck and tires didn’t blink an eye:muscleflexing:Got a great campsite and of course the dog:cool:
Need a air system so I can air down and things won’t be so bumpy next time:D

I want to do that trail someday when I'm out there. What lift and tires are you running? It didn't look you needed much for armor underneath.

Running 6112/5100 with a 1/4” spacer up front. Gives me right at 2”/1”. tires are K02, but I chose the E rated tires. I don’t drive a lot, and the stiffer tire gives a little extra lift and is rugged as fuck. They are a 265/75/16.

Seriously, a stock taco could do this just fine if you pick your lines. I scraped once, on the hitch. I just need @In4aride ’s hitch skid and I’ll be golden. Had I picked a better line and not crossed it like a shitgibbon, I would have been fine.

If you come out to make the run, hit me up. I’d be happy to tag along and my wife doesn’t like off roading, but loves video taping it. So she can get some videos for you also.

I will certainly let you know when I get out there.

I've got Billy 51s all around at 1.5" with Wildpeak 255/80/17 for an additional 1.5" in height.

Word. I’m 30 minutes away and can take you on some other pretty badass to nefarious trails. I see Smasher Canyon in my future, maybe. The wife would love recording it. We shall see. It’s 10 minutes from home.
