    Ripped off all four mudflaps. Scratches all down both sides 6112’s up front on 3rd notch 5100’s in back with Toytech 1” block Skids & sliders from SOS Concepts I got rid of the 1” block and put on Wheelers 1 1/2” progressive AAL. SPC UCA. Be sure your standing on the drivers side when reading the instructions! I swapped sides so many times that I can swap UCA’s in 15 minutes. I put in the 3/4” spacer to eliminate the Taco Lean, and just got my 4th alignment. Traded the OEM rims for 17” Sport rims and a bora bora 1” spacer. I got my Firestone 285/70/17 MT2’s. Pelfreybilt gas tank skid and hi-lift jack should be here Friday. Looking at bumpers, but I think they will wait for next year. So far I’m happy with my build. I’ve done it all myself, leading to a lot of cussing and frustration, but it’s all mine.

    @dirty deeds - I read that moog and 555 were the same, then I read that they weren't, then I read that OEM was 555, then I read that 555 was crap and I gave up.

    I think some of those references were for 1st gen LBJs but I don't know. I've given up.

    TW can be an endless pit sometimes. It’s damn near sent me to a rubber room with a straight jacket on many times. It’s hard to separate facts from opinions.

    The OEM grade TRI/TRO/LBJ (and many other parts) meet different material grade specs that aftermarket part suppliers generally don't meet.

    So while many aftermarket suppliers meet the required shape tolerances, they don't use the appropriate grade material, and thus wear out much quicker.

    Even the OEM supplier of a part for Toyota can sell lower grade aftermarket replacement parts, and thats exactly what happens in a lot of cases.

    When I bent one, the consensus was to get 555 inners and Moog ends with zerks. So I did.

    I couldn't get an alignment because the but was jammed on the rod, bent just enough to suck.

    That zerk fitting bothers me. It’s going to take me about 2.5 seconds to knock it off.

    Fwiw, I'm going. There are def some good trails for whatever you want. They do a decent job of breaking out groups for each difficulty ride.

    The best part is usually late night shenanigans, but it won't be anything compared to a TW meet.

    Not a huge fan of the group leadership, but I'm a part of the group nonetheless.

    Anyone here ever changed their power steering rack? I’ve read so much about it on the forums, I’m aware of all the big potential issues and I bought new bolts in case I end up having to cut the driver’s side one out. I’ve got a new rack, new lines (both) and a few other misc parts.

    I should be ready to remove my front suspension and swap the power steering rack by next weekend and I’ve got my fingers crossed it doesn’t go horribly...

    I do see that the tube unit for sale now is compatible with all gens.

    It's here if you need it. That tube setup is nice, if I didn't already have a bent sacrificial housing that's what I would've used.

    I took my pickup in to have some work done in the front end,, cause I’m getting old and crawling around in the driveway just sucks anymore, and lower ball joints are bad enough that I’m going to have them replaced. The uppers,,, I’m lucky the passenger side wasn’t broken completely. I’m not sure if hitting they stump had anything to to with it but it’s done and the drivers side isn’t as bad but it’s wore out too.
    These are the ball joints that came on the SPC uppers a little over 2 years ago and maybe 40k miles.
