When I was at the lake in the morning, I couldn't pick up you guys as you were leaving to come down to the lake. I was on channel 15, code 13. I was calling y'all on the gmrs to see if y'all were coming down to the lake. Never heard any reply, so I started driving up the mountain. That's when I met you coming down

I reset the handheld Baofeng one I bought (GMRS-V1) and reprogrammed it and still can't get the damn thing to transmit, it only receives. I'm going to return it and try another one since everyone else seemed to have good luck with their Baofeng units; seems I got a lemon. Also the battery charger was too big, I had to cut up credit cards to fill the gap to make sure the battery made contact with the leads. So in an ideal world I would at least have the right charger.

 

Man what a pita, that's a bummer. It makes trips more fun being able to communicate. Feel a bit more cohesion as a group rather than separated in trucks.
