I'm going to either PM or e-mail the BAMF person and ask if there's a sale. Also would like to know a realistic lead time, 6-8 weeks is reasonable but i'm impatient!

Pretty good. I have some rust appearing at some sharp corners I need to touch up after 2+ years

    What randy said haha

As far as skids I’d paint those honestly. My sliders are powder coated and have held up pretty well but still hit bare steel. My sliders don’t make anywhere near as much contact with stuff as the skids do.

That makes a ton of sense. Also can't really see the skids, whereas the sliders are a bit more visible and thus the "finish" should be a bit better IMO.

Yeah that’s my line of thinking. I’m also lazy and lived in an apartment at the time so didn’t want to deal with painting stuff in the parking lot haha

That's my boat now so I'll likely ship the skid to my parents' in PA for painting and install (just need to grab a floor jack).

Solid plan, you’ll definitely need a jack or two for the sliders haha. I used jack stands for the sliders...they are heavy as hell

Dont forget the most important part; They filed for bankruptcy BEFORE they stopped taking orders.

Gonna enlist some friends and hand out N95's and Victory Summer Love so as to minimize how many jack stands I need to get lol.

    What the fuck?

Some smart people on TW dug into the public filing and figured it out. Was bullshit. And they had good products. There was a while after where one company bought all of their stock and was letting it go so cheap, but pickup only. People out west made a killing

I would have had a coronary if I had given them money for something after they declared bankruptcy.

6-8 week + is standard. The products are not pumped out in a factory, they are made in shops in the US.

Check out BAMF website. He has daily deals too.

A lot of people paid with credit cards and were able to use the CC company to cancel the payment. One specific bad one i remember was someone placing an order for full armor, ~$8k, in cash, and losing it all.

I pay everything with an AMEX where possible to mitigate against that very same risk. I could not imagine losing $8K and keeping (what's left of) my sanity.

2020 is a weird year but I'll be damned if I catch COVID or a fat bill for jack stands all for a few pieces of armor!

What happened to the Pelfrey folks after that? I assume they got out of dodge, never to be heard from again?

Actually, the entire toyota armor community got together and offered HUGE discounts to those that lost out on money to pelfrey. It was awesome.

Edit: Oh you mean the company people, they are long gone
