had to replace the internals/adjust parrs on one. This is what they sent when I hit up king. Online says there is a retainer screw/bolt but wasn’t sure. if this is all I have this appears to be the layout for replacing. Then I need to refill with oil.

That appears all correct to me for the bypass. If there is anything missing from there you could always reuse the old part. Been a while since I pulled the bypass apart but I think you are all set. I want to mess with my bypass springs the next time I rebuild mine.

I would use the old one but the reason for a rebuild is the adjustment but popped off so I lost the parts. I was able to find the ones you see but was not sure if they forgot a part. The parts page mentioned an retainer screw and the white stop is metal so it’s a guess. I think it’s right as well.

What were you planning to do with the springs?

Yeah the valve (white plastic part) does look different. Like I said, been a while since I had my actual bypass ports apart. Worst case you can email or call filthy motorsports (the guys in the video) and talk to them. They’ve been super helpful when trying to find weird rebuild/ tuning parts that aren’t generally in a rebuild kit.

For mine I think we want to make the springs lighter so they open quicker. Also need is an extra rebound bypass to quicken that up some more lol. Already running the lightest shin stack you can and have my bypass all the way open. But that’s a leaf spring problem I guess.

makes sense I though about asking them. I ordered parts from king so it was not a kit. Should have had it all. But you never know.

I need to do more tuning on mine but need to change my rear springs which Have put off additional tuning.

Yeah it’s tough when so many factors have effects on performance. My leaf springs are stiff to get me the ride height I want so I know it will never be “perfect” but it works damn good for what it is. Just tweaking little things as they need to be rebuilt or gone through.

If we start listening to the BMW service manuals for servicing these trucks we'll end up having to replace a short circuited tail light driver due to water intrusion on a PCM we don't even have.

It's for the bracket of your blinker fluid reservoir.

Yah that’s where I’m at. My Dakar setup is shot for my weight now. Thinking of a custom set if deavers. My rear needs 1-2” back. The rear shocks at ride height only show 4” need it closer to 6” For the bypass. Never ends

In the next few years when those cars get really cheap the streets are going to be full of kids driving around with annoying overly loud ear piercing exhausts.

Already starting you can get one under $10k. Def wouldn’t mind seeing their face when the taco keeps pace. Was in Oakland earlier and a GroupMe if mustangs and cameros were messing. Around wishes I had the taco with me. That would have given them a surprise

My suspension tuning friends suggested deaver u402’s for soa, stock location leafs. They’ve got a few different weight ratings based on what you want. But worth a call to deaver if you have axle weights to see if they suggest something more custom.

Sounds good. I was considering the stage II or stage III u402’s. I wanted to get the truck weights first but I’m good if those do the trick.

Get the weight and give them a call. But I think that’s the right path for off road performance at least.

Ben was great. Sent me this photo which was closer to what we have and confirmed their is no retention screw although the parts map shows one. Go figure.
