Logs will not tell me the gears are mis timed. Unless it’s causing a mechanical issue which manifests itself in the form of knock (pistons tapping valves, etc) or it triggers a unexpected CEL.

2.8“ imho is the sweet spot for these blowers. 2.5 if you want to get frisky.

If you want more power than the 2.8 provides, you need a compressor that moves more air. Straight up real talk. I will get hate for this, but many are disillusioned on what this blower is capable of.

Need to get some of these builds on a dyno, for science. Gonna run mine once I get headers and exhaust on.

 

There is a reason why the 2.85 stealth was such a popular pulley mod back in the day.

I didn't understand why that was until I did my own research regarding the compressor mapping of the M90.

I do now.

That's too much air for our trucks. As much as I'd love to slap one of these on that is not the answer. The M112 roots is too large for ours as well. There is a reason why Magnuson sized an M90 for our trucks and not the M112. We would have better luck with a TVS R1320. There reaches a point where our engines are actually the bottleneck and not the blower. Displacement always wins. Lol.

Speaking of 2.8 pulleys I did a sweet blackout mod on my 2.8 yesterday. Silver to black.

Are you in stock gears? I’ve been thinking about doing 4.56 for a while now. I think that probably will make a more noticeable difference than the supercharger did.

I was just talking to someone about this the other day.

 

10 seconds to go from 50 all the way to 90 mph out of our 4.0? Hey that's not bad at all. I'll take that any day.
