Here's a summary of the day for everyone just for fun:

We did a couple of sections of University Firepower heading north then hopped onto Happy Meal from the east end. Josh had to head out after that, then we hit Powerline 3.

After that one Brett and Bob headed out, then the rest of us hopped onto the last (south) section of University Firepower part 2. @hawaii_dave took the harder line up the hill and made it easily.

We also picked up a couple stray Toyotas into our group for that trail .
A dark blue fifth gen 4 Runner and white third gen Taco. I think they were both on 33s.

Next I took everyone down the road a little bit and we all drove over the big rock pile for fun on the way to a south section of Cedar Tree.

Y'all might notice our new friends in the pic that was posted already at the huge rock pit where we stopped after that .

After our new friends said goodbye we ran both sections of Dog Leg, then Dave made a run at the gatekeeper on Airplane Hill... and lemme tell you those boulders are not small. Even with 35s he just didn't have enough ground clearance, but he made a good run at it.

Then we went to 7 up and walked up the crazy size...well sort of. We walked up some of it! Dave decided to pass (wise choice), and we went up 7 up a different way. There are 3 ways up to the top. All of us made it up to the top via the line on the southwest end. Stock trucks made it up the slick rock ledge at the top no problem.

Me and Mark came back down, then hit a harder line on the north side (the one @eatin trails went up Friday when we were out there with our other first gen buddy). So Mark made it up that harder climb in his 2nd gen DCLB open/open!

I did not make it up LOL. That big rock ledge was super slippery. I made a few runs at it. Tried crawling it...nope. Too slick. Tried some wheel speed...nope. I even let my tires "dry out" aka smoking tires at one point.

Backed up and gave her a little bump a few times, but I kept sliding towards my passenger side really close to the bank, especially my right rear corner. Didn't wanna crash anything on the passenger side so I carefully backed down before I got too wedged against the bank. I wasn't willing to send it with no sliders, etc .

Last thing we did was the black diamond hill climb section of Hog's Back.

Wow solid crew and sounds like an epic time out there today. When I saw “sorry I failed at Airplane Hill” I just laughed to myself. You guys were getting after it.

Should have joined you, instead I took a midday break from the camper build and went on a nice road ride (bicycle), until I hit a chunk of 2x6 sprinting the last mile home. Rather clean mud out of the cab than gravel out of my ass cheek and arm. Stupid bicycles. Bike is alright, Swiss bibs and Italian shoes not so much. First world problems big time.

Anyway no more thread hijack lemme see pictures!

I've been thinking about getting a Tacobox for my next mod. So 7up hill would be a great test for it .

Here is the first approach, easing into it. I didn't get the rest on video, but he made a few runs at it.

Kept getting bottomed out on his passenger side slider and center skid. Front right tire was pretty much in the air with nothing to grab no matter what. Somehow the camera makes the rocks look smaller lol.

Edit: not sure why the video quality got cut. Apologies.

Then I'd really have to sell my house and build a new garage, Truck is at the garage limit right now. Only fits if i take the spare tire off, and can't have anything on the roof .

The day you showed up at the car lot, Was the beginning of the end of having any spare cash. Now every spare dollar goes to the Tacoma. I know where I'm at with mine And I've done all the work myself.

I meant, it's getting expensive if you have to sell the house and build a new garage in the name of SAS and 40s.

Here's a pic that I snapped while we were airing up. I'll post more pics up soon.
