Didn’t plan on fishing this weekend, but the lady and I found a cool lake on the way home from Mendocino NF. Stopped and paddled around some... insanely clear water. Only fished for a few minutes, but got one!

That’s it! This was the upper blue lake. Couldn’t believe how clean and clear it was. Wished I had brought my GoPro just to drop it down into the water and see what was below.

Yeah dude those are some nice Lakes. I’ve yet to make it out there, one day I’ll take the boat out there. Always see a TON of people fishing off the road on the banks there.

Only thing that really pisses me off with humminbird. I need probably 10’. They only make Ethernet extensions in 30’.

like mirror themselves? When mine are networked they just use the same transducer. I can still put on whatever I want on the displays.

I just hooked it up and was trying to get smart strike to work but found out smart strike doesn’t work on mine but I can still use the charts. But the charts don’t network to each other. But the transducer on rear and the trolling motor are available and the heading beacon both read together with the trolling motor auto pilot. So I guess the only thing is the charts not networking. I can get over that.

Still sucks they aren’t networking when everything else seems to work fine. Wonder why that could be.....

From what I read just age and compatibility. From what I’ve read after some digging the Helix don’t mirror either but lakemaster shares from Helix up. But I don’t need the chart on the front screen anyway since I’ll drive there then drop in the trolling motor.

Caught my first (couple) fish on a fly last weekend.

    Hooked.

(also caught fish on lures but, this was my first time fly fishing and that is what stood out to me the most)

Oh shit! That looks delicious. What did you do with the fish in the pan? Mix it with anything else?
