Switch Pros 9100 install and BS thread

we just got one for my brothers truck like a week ago. Shipped immediately.

 

I placed my order Sunday. They emailed me about it Monday.

 

In fact I told them to cancel my item to not hold up my entire order.

Then later on I inquired, and turns out that the cubby was backordered, too. This one they did not inform me about. It should all ship out Monday.

I placed another, separate order for the mount itself after this. I'm this close to a Power Trays purchase.

 

Underhood mounts are 4-6 weeks out as they got redesigned to accept the new RCR Force 12 as well as the 9100's. The keypad mount depends on cab configuration and year. I have all of them in stock except the 2016 Double Cab w/o Power rear window. Those are still about 2-3 weeks from shipping out as we are waiting on Toyota.

 

What’s up guys. I have a SDHQ under hood mount that I am not going to use. Let me know.

Used the bracket that came with the switch pro. Rubber spacers between the bracket and frame. Plenty of slack to pop off the fuse box cover..Good enough for now ‍♂️

Still need to make some labels for all the wires. Waiting on front and rear lockers going in along with an ARB compressor at the end of this month. That’s 3 more wires going in the switch pro.
I was hesitant to get the thing at the $850 CAD price tag but after briefly using it...worth every penny.

also mounted the switch panel in the sunglass holder. My Tacoma has 2 sunglass holders so it turned out perfect.

 

Yeah man. TOTALLY worth it. If anyone is ever thinking about electrial mods just get this and don’t even fuck around with putting unnecessary holes in the truck. If u label your wires are you gonna put clear heat shrink around em?

 

No I have a little sticker label printer just gonna fold it over like a tag

 

You should get the cheap heat shrink label maker tape and lemme know how it works

 

It works pretty good, if you finger fuck it too much it starts to wear off.

 

Like fresh after printing? U just used the cheap ones on Amazon yeah?
