Yeah thanks for your input. I spoke with the transportation company a day before they picked it up the next day at 12:30am. Salesman supposedly was too busy that day to take pictures for me and event though the transport guy took a pic of the vehicle, it was too dark to see the front grill. Everything was on a time crunch for me. Lesson learned i suppose.

    Thanks again

I said it ten pages ago but ive shipped about a dozen vehicles in the military and have had two arrive with a fresh dent. The shipper that transported it to me paid for it because it wasnt on the origin bill of lading and I wouldnt sign.(the shipper with my Tacoma tried to put my truck back on the carrier when he wouldnt sign about the damage and the cops were called, it got ugly.. he was an undocumented guest in our country so that went South quickly)
You should have two of those, and they should have your signature on them. Ive never heard of a shipper not doing that.

I would be upset as well. My truck was missing the tailgate electrical connection covers and the trailer break pigtail. I made the dealer order me the parts bag that was missing. Gotta get what you pay for.

Carfax is not very accurate. It’s voluntary for the insurance companies to report to it. Means nothing that there is no accident on it.

J control your chihuahua. Not only does the general population not know who the fuck HE is, but beancooker was a member who tagged you because he values your lulz. I feel like I stepped into the “mean girls” Movie, but in thread form.

Yeah, I was thinking this too OP. It doesn't need to be an accident that would have caused horrendous damage, just a tap hard enough to break plastic. All it takes is one of those mall-crawling bro-dozers...you know, the 2WD jacked-up F-250's with a trailer hitch that sits about 3ft off the ground, big enough to pull oil tanker ships off a boat ramp? Just a tap while backing up could have crushed or cracked the grill in the parking lot and it was replaced...poorly. Could have been the previous owner, or the dealership...who knows? There should be a TOYOTA stamp somewhere on the grill that shows it's authentic. ALSO... just enter your VIN here and see for yourself. Can't hurt:

I had the T missing one of the hubs of my wheel. I just casually told them to please replace it. They did with no questions asked. When you bring it in for it’s first service just tell them it fell off while driving and please make the repair to the grill. You owe them no explanation.

Actually, worst they can say is, "oh yeah, you're THAT guy...read your post on TW...really sucks buddy, but poor transportation/ salesmanship is not a warranty issue." I hope not, but it could happen. Mitsubishi and Subaru denied several hundreds of warranty claims because people had posts of their Evos and WRXs at track day events, "...racing isn't covered...eat shit...next in line please." I hope it's a good resolution for the guy. Especially since every single time he goes to/ from his ride...there it is...that f*ing missing letter. The guy just wants his truck to be what he paid for - nothing more, nothing less. It sucks.

Thanks for the morning coffee break, fellas.

Also, I'm going to spout an unpopular opinion around here: the pro grille is boring AF. Instead of trying to replace the missing T, I'd black out three more letters and go old school with a "YO" grille.

Was the plate there when you received the truck? Sounds like maybe they damaged your grill in the process of taking the license plate off...leaned agains it a little too hard maybe? They'll say anything to get out of taking responsibility. My biggest mentor...my football coach once said very poetically, "If they play tackle, you play tackle too...can't go out there and play touch. Hit 'em harder." It stuck. More than 35 years ago.

They aren't even that difficult to install either. I mean, how difficult can it be if the local Vietnamese mani/pedi place is offering a $5 "hand job" in the back?
