Does anyone in here have an extra tailgate pad, or one that they don't want anymore? looking at getting one, and wouldn't mind a used one for cheaper.

Yes, I have a dakine(?) pad sitting in the garage. I'm guessing with shipping it probably won't be much cheaper than a new one, but I'm happy to sell it to you. $60 plus shipping?

    not enough.
I was gonna say, unless you find one local to you, probably easier and about the same price to get a new one.

@machspeed Your Moxie is a long, correct, or is it a longer? Trying to figure out which size I want since I am in the dead center for either at 6 foot, though I am leaning towards "Longer"

Did an inventory, and all I need is a cockpit and I can assemble a bike completely from spare parts plus a frame.

    Longer.
I am 6’3” with short legs for my height. And do not sweat going with a Longer; the bike is big but not really.
I can put it next to my XL Chameleon tonight for a picture comparison. Wheelbase yes, otherwise its reasonable.

I specifically went with a 29x2.4 Maxxis on the rear since they run small and it would let me keep the sliding dropouts as short as possible

Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like Longer is the way to go.

Anybody have any idea of how to get 4 bikes racked in the bed without the tow hitch rack (I would like clearance for off-roading if necessary)

I was imagining something low profile for the bed rails and maybe a biker bar on the front of the bed.

also is there a bin rack that exists that just secured the front wheel on the roof? Meaning that the back wheel would rest on the bed and the front wheel would be on the roof.

Pickup pad would be the cheap solution. Otherwise you could get some bed bars and put some racks up top

I just picked up a factory front rail, and some standard bike mounts. Fits my 27.5” and my gf road bike just fine.

Comparison to an XL chameleon, so the biggest available of both. 140mm Chameleon vs 150mm Moxie has noticeable differences in reach/HT & ST angles/standover/wheelbase etc. but both are setup for the same rider [me].

The Moxie sounds huge for many and it would be a much bigger difference had I not already had all Large & XL frames. Since all my bikes including those not shown are built and fit specifically to me, lining up handlebars and saddles vs wheelbase is a neat comparison of differences in geometry and build, but since I like what I like, they all end up looking real similar too. Put one pic with the bigfoot Blackborow in the background for scale.

My data point comes when I have to put my bikes in my oneup and noting how many clicks the ratchet arms take to lock the bike in.

    Stache: 6 each
Sentinel: 5 each and its a little more snug
Bronson: 7 each, and NOTICEABLY shorter loading it in the tray

Hey @tahoeskitaco - Amazing trail! -Can you point me to that?
We spend quite a bit of time in Tahoe - Not lately, but I'm looking forward to pedaling there again soon...

How are things in Tahoe with the Covid mess? (From the news, it seems that it is all quite a mess... Hope it is not the case viewed from 'feet on the ground'...)

Quick Update on the RakAttach I installed back in February. While I was changing the hitch anti-rattle device, I noticed that the main pivot nut and washers are rusty. I sent an email out to 1Up to see if the nut and washers can be replaced with something that is less likely to corrode. I'll update with their response.

Also, I replaced the delivered anti-rattle device with a different device. The unit that came with the RakAttach loosens up over tie and rusted/bent too easily. The new device has been rock solid.
