Houses around here are almost all over $450k. Condos are mostly $250-$350 and they're aren't many. We console ourselves with trails, views and lifestyle, but the financial considerations are significant and incomes are not high.

My wife and I ran in to these issues when looking also. Rented for 1 1/2 years before finding what we wanted, and it wasn't. Haha 3/4acres, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, only a 1 stall garage but we got it for 17.5K less than asking. We found it because we expanded our search radius. Its 25miles(40minutes) to work, but it is worth the space and quiet and price. We were used to 5 acres with 3bedroom 2 bath for 200-250k, can't find anything on 1 acre for less than 350-400k.

Goal is/was to pay off my house and use the sale price to pay for another house in cash. Then I can do whatever job I want, and have no mortgage. But to afford all the bikes that I want, id need a decent job. Ughh the catch 22 of life

That’s my issue if I move. I get paid pretty well, but if I move out of state, it’d probably be hard to get my salary matched

pay off all your vehicles now. Then you wont have much to worry about. Or see if you can be 100% remote at your current job, but just living in a much less expensive area. Then you will be set

My truck only has 2 more years and I have a 1.99% on it so it’s almost free money. I don’t put any extra payments in to it. I will be paying the Harley off as soon as I can though.

If I move, it’s going to be out of state. The only reason I’m still in California is because I got this place by the beach. But I’ve found myself surfing less and less so it’s almost not even worth living here anymore. I love California but I also really hate California. I don’t really want to be full time remote, it’s nice, but I have cool coworkers and it’s fun to go in to the office and actually socialize some because I don’t do shit at home lol

My truck is paid off in January and motorcycle in May. I've been following a pretty aggressive plan to pay off all my debt besides my mortgage. Found out about my wife's secret credit card and I'm going to throw my boat $$ at that so it's out of the way.

That sounds like her problem, not yours. I dont see why your boat should have to suffer!
