After reading that thread, if I go Cooper, it seems the 4S would be better for me. Those run $160/tire. Discount Tire has a $70 prepaid card rebate on those at the moment. So essentially $142.50/tire.
Walmart carries the Cooper Discoverer AT, which was suggested was an older version which became the AT3. But Cooper still makes them for Walmart. Those run $115/tire.
Then there's the Falkens, everywhere for $130/tire.
    All of these are 265/75/16s.

60 gallons and I'm cruising around 22kts at 3500 rpm. Range actually unsure. We rarely use a full tank in an outing. But we're running 150 Yamaha 4 stroke so I assume it's probably a little less range than yours since it's an older heavier boat

Thanks! Any reason to stay 265/75 and not go back to 265/70 besides the speedo?

I would stick with 265/75, it’s marginally bigger. No reason to go smaller IMO

I just looked up my engine specs and always calculate my range and fuel used based on its worst GPH. I don’t want to run out. You guys have a membership at Tow Boat US or SeaTow?

Y’all are making me miss my boat!

In better news I got a promotion. Got 3 days left in custody and I’m done. Got hired on as facilities maintenance. Mon-Friday, 7-3, no weekends or holidays and still keep my federal law enforcement credentials and retirement.

Really looking forward to getting back to a normal schedule and life. Been hectic the last year to say the least. Truck is still running like a champ, think I got 17k on her now. Adding up the miles quick driving back and forth to the prison!

I stay inshore most of the time. I don’t have either, but my insurance covers some towing. Not sure how much. Most places I could just drop an anchor and figure out my problem or beach it and figure it out.

One of my buddies from the military days is a Yamaha Master Tech. He’s gotten phone calls from the boat a couple times. My idle control module went out and motor wouldn’t stay running when I shifted to neutral. Had to take the cowling off and manually hold the throttle while my wife shifted it into gear. Then hauled ass back to the boat ramp.

Got us back to the boat ramp and dropped the boat off at Seel’s Outboards the next day. Reminds me my fuel water separator needs to be changed soon. :bananadead:

And my oils... I need to find the software and cable to hook into the motors computer to see how many hours it has. This one doesn't have an external meter and it drives me crazy

Yeah me too. I’ve found all the parts I need to setup NMEA network and hook my outboard to my Garmin so I can access all the data and extra gauges. Just need to do it but stuff keeps coming up. Like the Golden Retriever I want. He’ll be ready for pickup at the end of the month from Blue Sky Golden Retrievers :taco:
