Recommend a CB radio?

Anyone know wich one i should get? Value for money?

 

Check walmart out good prices on cobra's i will be getting the cobra 19 ultra III small compact and im gonna put it in the center console.

 

This one is a bare bones basic CB that's tried & true. I have two of them. One is mounted in my jeep and the other we use to swap back-n-forth in our other vehicles.

I had one in my 96 tacoma also - fit perfectly where the ash tray was.

 

Stupid question - why do you need a CB anymore? Is it useful anywhere else other than the trails?

Use it for traveling......

Traveling with a group of people to communicate to eachother. Use it to monitor truckers - traffic & police information. Truckers are funny as hell to listen to.

 

I plugged in my Uniden with a 24" K40 power whip on my jeep and I'm able to reach truckers on the highway which is about 1-2 miles away from my house. Never had it tuned....

 

Get a good one. Don't mess around with a POS or you'll regret it. (That is my $0.02 worth).

That CB is actually in my Prelude right now, and I replace it with a Blue Tooth 29 Cobra for the Tacoma.

 

How come your deck sticks out so far?, i have the exact same one and i love it.

 

I love cb's they are the best ever!!!!! a must have on interstates!!!!!!! if you are looking for a good cheap radio look at cobra or uiden.... willson makes pretty good antennas for the $$$$$

 

Whats the difference between cb and vhf?

 

A vhf is a Marine radio not use on dry land.

 

never mess around on channel 9!!! haha

 

Over here is CA the coast guard, and ships use 16 and you get yelled at for screwing around on that channel.
