What privacy code mode are you using? Your radio has two privacy modes (DCS and CTCSS). I'm guessing that you were on DCS code 13, and you needed to be on CTCSS code 13.

 

Looks like the leak is coming out of the axle that connects to the diff.

Well here’s what I’d do. Drain the diff. Replace the axle seal. Put on fresh oil. See what happens. That’s about $30 in material and a couple hours of work.

Hate to say it but that skid looks pretty darned weak compared to the Mobtown Offroad skid. Where are the reinforced ribs and WTF are those welded nuts for? Just curious...no hate!

 

That's a genius idea. Leave a little wire so you have something to pull on (and find it if it gets dropped). Free is very good.

 

Patrick, order that shit now if Mobtown is your choice. As Randy and Joe have both said, there's a build time for quality and it's well worth the wait.

 

I'm not wheeling like Randy and all, but my RCI has held up fine. I'm not sure what welded nuts you're referring to. There's two speed nuts that hold a plate on to get to the oil filter. Thems?
