Well after being on TW for a couple years I figured id make a build thread. Mainly to keep track of what I've done and to post pictures of my trips and some installs ill do around the way. I do about 90% of the work on the truck, sometimes with the help of friends, hopefully, I'll be able to post some informative stuff.

So come on in say whats up, hangout, bs post whatever works.

The truck is a 2013 Offroad

    • Icon Billet UCA (failed when swapping uniballs)
    • TC tubular UCA
    Armor

    • Pelfretbuilt sliders
    • Bruteforce fab HC rear with swingout
    • Complete RCI skids
    • Bamf bumper reinforcement brackets

    • Level 8 Mk6s trd center cap
    • Scanguage 2 and scanguage 2 overhead console mount
    • A bunch of stuff im probably forgetting
    Current Drawer/rear setup

Upcoming Mods/Things to do on the truck
    • 2nd battery swap out (pg 3)
    • Retrofit reinstall
    • GMRS radio install
    • bedside separation fix
    • Solar install
    • Sport mirror install (pg 4)
    • New RTT

    Wishlist/Eventually coming soon

    • King smoothies in the rear with the shock relocation
    • Some sort of Rear hanger upgrade im not sure what company I want to go with
    • 35s (in the far future)

    The day I got it

The old truck that got me into all of this, 1990 Isuzu trooper which was in the middle of a 350 swap. Sadly I had to part it out to get something more reliable which led me to the Tacoma and a decent amount of cash to start out with for some mods.

    Truck as it currently sits

Some of the stages of the truck

Recent Pics of some local exploring

Well, the projects begin. Ordered 2nd gen matte black sport mirror covers or so I thought and ended up with 3rd gen covers :bananadead:. So now instead of spending more money, I'm going to just make these MGM ones the color I want. Right now Im using a rustoleum matte black but If its not the shade I want I may switch to a flat black. Its kinda rainy and nasty outside so I expect they will take some time to dry but Ill post more when they are finished.

in the spots. But just walk over the dune to get to the sand/beach/ocean. Also you can buy a permit to drive on the beach.

    Just so you know.....

I've lived in Utah 40+ yrs....

This spring has been the suckiest year I can remember.......

Last week heavy mountain snow.....rain...flash floods........

Now more wind & extreme fire warnings......

If you do come to Utah or the West....

Bring extra water & put out your dammmmm campfires !

    Its badd....really

Ive never been to Utah but I want to because you guys seem to have a wide variety of terrain, been to Montana Northern Idaho and a small part of Washington. Id sure hate to be the person who left their campfire rolling to cause a wildfire. Im pretty good about dousing mine for the night and before I leave.

Do they ever have campfire bans out there? Or do people disreguard them?

We do. And a lot of places are now "fire pan" areas where you essentially have to bring a fire pit with you. Seems to be a 50/50 on following the rules. The 4x4 crowd seems to be good about it, the side by side community can piss off.

A lot of the fires around here are caused by shooters and tannerite, etc. There was a fire the other day close to here that was caused, from word on the street, by some folks who "wanted to see what a flare gun would do" and then shot it into a hillside full of dry grass. :frusty:
