I did the same to mine and my son’s. I used Rustoleum High Gloss Professional Enamel Saftey Red.

I took a wire brush spinning disk to scuff it up. Then sanded some. Primed with etching primer(3) coats. Painted (with about 8) coats.

I rubbed some Go Gone on the AVS letters, came right off. I hear Off the bug spray works well for that too.

We would love to see what you come up with for a DIY version of our system. Ultimately thats where our business began and it is always good to get new ideas on how to better improve our products. The price point for us is an everyday low cost. We never discount or offer deals on the product (other than military) in an effort to keep that price consistent and low. Let us know if you have any questions.

I was given a 2018 SR for a company work truck that I drive home at night. Swapped the tail light housings since they are black on the side by the back-up light. Not as nice looking as the pros, but free, so they'll do. Gonna see about swapping door handles (at least the front...DC vs. AC) and all the A/C vents.

Appreciate the response. Tad concerned with the Pro Grille mounting the sensor in a lower location. Seems like they would conflict.

Its a 1up single bike rack, the latch you’re seeing is the release for bar that keeps the wheels in place

Last time I did that I used a drill bit to drill a hole to relieve the pressure. Felt 100% better after that. I feel your pain.

I wanted to thank you for singling me out. I did say that I like your product, but it is too expensive for Me. Money spent on this could be better spent on my family’s needs. Especially since America is on the verge of a financial crisis.
The point of having a truck for me is to have full function of the bed. If I install a “system” in the bed then I lose the function of the bed. Any situation where I will need a similar product could easily be built with common lumber and readily available rubbermaid style containers. Or just put it in the trailer. Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to explain why I think the product is too expensive for ME.

The "too expensive for ME" part says it all. I'm in the same boat. :bananadead:
