Figured I'd post this up for future reference. Bit of background: Bought my truck 8/9/10 with 37,500 miles from Toyota of Keene (4 Cyl, 5 Speed, 4x4, access cab). After a day noticed the radiator cap wasn't on right and I had lost some coolant. Went back to the dealership the next day, had them top it off and replace a TPMS that was bad. All was good, love my new yota!

Fast forward to last week, 40,000 miles. Checking fluids noticed my coolant was low...odd. Took it in to Norm Wagner's Toyota down the road from me and they determine I need a new Water Pump, covered under warranty, SWEET! So I go back in Wednesday 11/2/10 to get it replaced, 40,750 miles. After a couple hours the guy comes out and says they got a bad part and they'd need it another day. I went in to the shop area and looked, the pump they got looked like the impeller hadn't been pressed all the way onto the shaft and was hitting the block. Oh snap!

They get a new one the next day, replace it, call me it's done. Go get it in the pouring rain, happy to be out of the civic loaner and back in my truck. That night, for a split second, thought I heard a 3 axis Bridgeport milling aluminum, by the time I had the radio down it was gone. Drove home in silence. Last night leaving work, thought I heard the same thing, again, gone instantly. Pop the hood this morning (Because the monsoon has stopped!) First thing I see, COOLANT!!! On the hoses, on the airbox, on the valve cover. Call the dealership, "Whoa, that ain't right!" (DUH) "Bring it in Monday".

That is what's happened up to this point. Kind of making this to keep track for myself while it's fresh in my mind. I'll update as things progress. Really annoyed though, spent 19k on this truck cause I was sick of constantly working on my trucks and wanted something I could just drive. So far, FAIL. Hopefully this is the only problem cause as much as it hurt coughing up the dough for this truck, that new ecoboost F150 looks pretty sick to me.

sorry to hear this happened curious ....
Can you drive it like that or is the dealer coming to get it?
    Keep posting what happened.
My coolant goes down more than any other toyota truck I owned.
Also my 06 has an upper rad hose the dealer has replaced a couple of times because it doesn't seal properly and seaps/leaks. :(

They're saying drive it in, thing even begins to get hot I'm shutting it down and calling them to come get it. Thankfully it's only a few miles.

Ok, so took it back in. Said they didn't see anything leaking just old coolant all over (Duh, it looked like it blew up under my hood!) Their claim is there was an air pocket in the system that got worked out and must have burped out somehow making a mess. Fine, whatever, told them I'd keep an eye on it. Went home, cleaned my engine bay so now anything I see I know is new. Hopefully it'll behave now.
