I hear that it's going to be an ATV trail. I used to camp at the primitive camp grounds at Buck's Pocket. There's a time of year when the Dogwoods start blooming, the hybrids come up into the shallows and you can catch literally hundreds of them!

I got a good buddy in Fyffe, that use to patrol that area. It's got some great climbing spots, fishing and camping spots. The road down to the primitive campground used to be a 4x4 challenge to get down to. They've closed, gated it,and made it a walking trail now. I think @Leman had access to the primitive campgrounds.

Same ole same ole. For some reason I have been looking at GX470's. I found a 2006 that's the same color as my truck. According to the Lexus site, all maintenance has been kept up with. I honestly have no need for one, but I want one none the less    Being short and all...….I love the baby Land Cruisers

What size lift are you running? I'm really hoping I can stay with a 255/75 after my lift.

Lol I love the newer gx460, I hope to keep my truck and buy one when I need a new vehicle. My moms been talking about buying one, she drove that and the smaller Lexus suv. She’s got a 16 is250 now that’s sweet

Oh not enough by far. Only 5100/885s up front and 5100/icon aal.

Decided to go with dobinson for sure, but still debating $ difference to go MRR over the standard kit.

After CMC and plastics it'll drive just fine for a few months until its cooler to install whatever lift I do buy.

What is the 460 akin to? I know the 470 is sold as a Prado 120 elsewhere.
I went with the IMS. I didn't feel I would use the MMR and resi's like I should. I figured the IMS would be more than sufficient for my "overlanding"

The 470 was made till 2009 then it turned into the 460 after that pretty much the same thing.

I meant as what's it sold as in the rest of the world. The 470 is sold as the Land Cruiser Prado 120. I just didn't know if the 460 was a Prado something.

Oh idk that one lol I know it’s got the 4.6 only concern I have is if they have the same air injection pump problems that the 4.7 5.7 and those had.

I thought the 4.7 was a million mile motor. I haven't heard of the air injection deal.

That would be a nice weekend.

If you ever just want to get away, Little Mountain Marina is not far from Bucks Pocket or Guntersville State park. You can rent a 2 bedroom cabin for $40 a day, it is right on the water, has indoor and out door pools, basketball, small game room, reading room, grills at the cabin and on the water, boat ramp, 100 feet long dock to fish off of, a lot of room to ride bikes. I use to take my boys there to camp on the edge of the water when they were kids. They have scavenger hunts for the kids with prizes, we go in the winter to swim in the in door pool. In the fall we take my truck and RTT to camp on the edge of the water and roast marshmallows.

Yea they can be just need timing belts, my dads got one he’s had the code for air injection pump in winter. It’s some type of smog pump on startup that goes bad but can put the truck in limp mode and pretty much do nothing, I’ve personally heard of one and it’s about 1,600 to fix. You can also bypass it with a kit for about 140$, just can’t talk my dad into it.
