The VIN is stamped and written in multiple places throughout your truck and easily accessible on the dashboard stamp. Also in some states right on the registration on the windshield. If you’re worried about VIN cloning then perhaps you shouldn’t driving or at least parking your truck anywhere in public.

The trans fluid will most likely be too hot to check and they may have you leave it overnight.

The bandwidth is so much greater on the internet than IRL though. U can reach millions on the web, IRL there's so many limits to seeing your Vin personally

    True.

I never said anything about posting VIN’s. I simply posted the Toyota VIN decoder so people understand what their VIN References/means.

If you're referring to the dealer adding additional transmission fluid for the new ATF cooler. You might want to do that when you install the cooler, you'll be low on fluid if you don't. The additional fluid is needed to compensate for the amount of fluid that will now go through the new cooler.

That was in regards to "being afraid of cloning so don't drive"

Ahhhhhh. Nice. I mean, it's not impossible to do it yourself but without a dipstick it's not all that easy either. Good for you.
    :fistbump:

Edit - I have to say this though........if it were me, I would rather use a professional transmission repair facility than take it to any dealership. But that's just me. And as crazy as it sounds, I would have them flush the system and replace it all with a quality synthetic.

I will check with some local shops, however, I am not finished with Toyota on this issue.

I’m really confused, so do you have an upgraded radiator? Has the mid model year change been confirmed? Are aliens real?

No way I'd take anything less than a cooler installed by them.

I checked the volume of the stock and aftermarket coolers in 2017 and can’t remember the numbers, but it’s only several ounces. The passages are very narrow/thin.

Low speed, high heat desert crawling can overheat your automatic transmission. It happens.7E93139A-E35C-4829-8BD7-177316C0D420.jpg D9340813-336B-4668-A482-8DFDD7267BB9.jpg 9C16D4FA-19B9-49D5-A1B9-E9F80129D866.jpg 085C39FA-02CA-4160-8B90-CE5C50CB78B2.jpg

I would just not be able to trust the dealership at this point. I don't let them rotate my tires.

I'm with you, you can best damn believe I'd be emailing or calling someone until I got a straight answer that makes sense about the whole situation. We have a special segment on our local news just for shit like this.
