Sound like a great trip. If your 2.7 liter truck hasn't had the plastic water bypass pipe switched out for the metal one, I'd have it done before you leave. See this post for more info.

A spare set of trailer wheel bearings or a extra loaded trailer hub is always good to tote along too.

Best of luck and post pics!

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Switch the rear diff and tranny oil over to synthetic and forget any exhaust/engine mods

I would go up to Dawson YT and over "The Top of the World Highway".
I think with the power on your truck, you will be OK, the speed limited is around 60 mph and there are not any major hills unless you go up to DeadHorse.
Most of the roads are good and paved, some will be gravel, (Top of the World is nice gravel road)
Extra fuel, at least 10 gals or 200-300 miles, just encase a station or 2 are not open. There Expect gas on the Alcan to run in the $5-7 a gal
Get the Mileage Post book if you dont have it, lots of information.

I loved TOTW. The name feels right.

Canadian side of the hwy was definitely nice, US side was beautiful and paved for like a mile, then it went to potholes and dirt

But, you do go get to go through Chicken, which has lots of history. Good book set there too : https://www.amazon.com/Tisha-Wonder...&keywords=chicken+tisha&qid=1592362133&sr=8-1

My next trip will be around 2022, I hope in a new Tacoma.

last time was 2018 and we went to the Arctic Ocean and then the trip got cut short.
I loved that part of the trip & Valdez and Homer (2014 trip).
The first trip was in 1983 when my Mom & Dad (his bucket list) retired, in a week old 1983 Mercury Marquee Station Wagon

to the OP, sorry if I have highjacked your thread. You will have a great trip, try to go through Banff & Jasper National Parks. There will be parts along the Alcan that will be boring (at least I think it was) but so much is a post card. Bring bleach, drop some around the camp sight, Bears dont like it. Bring bear spray and one for each person, never had a problem. I have alway put Citronella Candles (4 of them) around the camp sight, and if its a bad area, use yard fogger. We sprayed first, let sit for 15 minutes and get a nice fire going, put candles out and I never really had a problem, except for Dry Creek.

2018 was my first and only trip up. I definitely have a picture next to that sign. What a different feeling place Tuk is.
