I admit, that was me. It was an attempt to create an account where I’d only be able to see ovtune posts, but it didn’t work unfortunately. I actually went into the moderator forum and asked that they delete the account, but they didn’t. I assure you though, I will not use the account ever.

Clearly I wasn’t thinking...wasn’t the first time and won’t be the last I’m sure. My bad.

    Edit:
Here’s a link to me asking the mod to delete...

So those on the final 2.0. Is it any different from the latest beta with the stumble start?

There is no stumble start now. Without ECT (probably in my head) she doesn't seem as peppy, but there's a lot of low end grunt. I need more miles on it though.

    1. No stumble.
    2. Amazing low end
    3. If Tacomas came like this from the factory, it would be the only truck on the road (aside for towing vehicles). Sales would triple.
    4. Fun to drive
    5. Turn on ECT

Loaded 04B04 Premium Thx 33. Only a handful of miles so not enough to form an opinion. 3 starts with no stumble, I like that. Only concern is if I'm going to be able to live without gear lock until it’s an option in vF and tune packs are released. I really liked gear lock in several situations.

I live in UT and we have mountains. On long sustained climbs without gear lock it constantly jumps from ~3000 rpm in 4th to 5000 rpm in 3rd, even on all the previous tunes I’ve tested. I’ve found if I can get a running start in 4th and get to 75-80 mph at the base of several hills I drive regularly (Parleys I-80 with 70 mph speed limit) lock it in 4th, my truck will carry 75 mph and 3300 rpm all the way up, no shifts.

Coming from the performance/premium beta tune, I thought I would be disappointed going back to the regular octane tune.
Loaded the regular stock with enhanced throttle (04B31_Reg_Stock_Thx.p5f), I am enjoying this way more than the previous perf/prem tune.
At a little over 100 miles so far, it is a pleasure to drive.

I see. I have very little mountainous driving experience, as I live on the Gulf Coast of Alabama. Last may I did the Smoky Mountains and drove up to Clingman's Dome, but that was much much slower.

While hunting I will lock gears. It gets pretty muddy.

    Thank you

I could see in flatter areas gear lock being less useful and more annoying. I’ve found being able to lock it in a gear for long hills is my #1 use for gear lock and I use it multiple times a week.

If I'm running 265/75/16r (31.6") tire would you recommend using the 33 tune? Or nope? Thanks guys! Also how is everyone liking Thx? Run it or no? I'm on 1.051 and the jerk when slightly touching the gas is a bit harsh.

Gear lock will be good for towing in the hilly areas around Seattle - I look forward to it!

    Run it.

Same tire size, I'm running the stock tire tune.

Matt has been asked by the mods if he wants to be a vendor, if he does they will make him a sub forum. Its in Matt's hands.
