What size you wear? I have a couple leather club style vests that I don’t wear anymore. A medium and a large. I’ll get pics for you. The medium is a little more broken in and the large was barely worn. I fit in both but the medium doesn’t let me carry without printing horribly.

6’1” / 185 for reference.

 

I was thinking bout a vest but I couldn’t pull it off haha

 

They’re actually really comfortable once you get over the whole “I’m wearing a vest” thing. Too hot to wear full gear but you want a little protection? vest. Want a few extra pockets? vest. Don’t want your shirt flapping up to expose your tramp stamp? vest. I wear my denim vest now. I used to wear a leather elves over a leather jacket and I felt bulky and stupid. I wore the leather vests a few times over a shirt and they’re great IMO, but it does take a little swagger to pull it off when not on the bike. I don’t have enough swagger for leather pants though.

 

Maybe I’ll take that large from ya if it fits haha I’ll have to try it on

If you guys ride Sunday let me know. Or if you ride up this way. I’m working on a renovation for my partner’s office for the next few days but it’s running a lot smoother than I expected, so hopefully drywall and tile will be done by then.

 

I’m definitely ATGATT, and not just because I’m a new rider.
I’ve seen pictures of road rash and skin grafts, and it sends chills down my spine.
My Sedici gear has a lot of options for ventilation, so I was perfectly comfortable the other week when it was 90+ degrees out.

Same here, I'm always geared up. So used to wearing it I'd feel naked on the bike without it lol. I've crashed twice, both were low speed luckily...but no way would I want to slide down the road wearing shorts and a tee I'll happily sweat it out

ive crashed 3 times. 2 in traffic, but just a bump and I dropped the bike. The car didnt feel it, and kept going. And once when my friend from Germany was here, and I was chasing him. Never a low side or a high side.

They tell you in the class that jeans are like tissue paper and leather is the best. I agree to a point. Its always a touchy subject whether to ATGAT or not. I just chuck it up to ride your own ride, and if you feel safe or not. Sometimes I wear a jacket, sometimes I dont. If I die, then hopefully it was doing something that I love, and it was my choice to not wear gear

 

Yup absolutely, that choice is up to each rider.
