Ok Gang put the date on your calendars, July 25th....

    SA BBQ Fun Day...:woot:

SA is going to have a BBQ out at my Casa with Cookings done by @Bigdaddy4760. Further deets for the event are yet to be ironed out but will post them accordingly so that you all can come out and enjoy. If you want to stay the night those with RTT's can sleep in the back field so that you don't half to worry about driving home that night so that everyone can have a good time. I will need to get a list of everyone that this going to attend by the 10th of July so that we can make sure we have enough food for everyone, BYO(Beer or Booze) of your choice will have water on hand for everyone.

This applies to anyone who wants to make the drive here, if you reading this message then your welcome to come.

Getting my gear all accounted for and packed up for rice. I fly out tomorrow, work starts Friday. I'm hoping for 6 or more weeks but I think I'll be lucky to get 4 this year. Looks like another weird weather year for rice, but we never really know until we get there. Even then, the techs change their minds daily.

From what I understand I should be one of the more experienced pilots out there again this year. That means I show up early and leave late. Fine by me, I'll be happy to stay until August of I can.

I'll get some new video for you while I'm out there, Kurt (@Oldie2007)

Look for a harness that doesn't have something connected to it

Can anyone in here recommend a machine/engine shop in texas that does Toyota stuff? The crook that sold me the replacement motor covered up the fact that the timing cover was cracked, so i pulled that bitch back out of the truck and dropped it off at the salvage yard lol. Gotta figure out where i can have my old motor rebuilt now. This has turned into a total nightmare.

Yeah man you're telling me. What a pita. Got the damn thing in the truck, all the accessory drive on, and when i filled it with oil it leaked like a sieve. had to pull both oil pans to find the damage. Just want to get the truck back up and running now:oops:

Steer clear of Giant Imports in San Antonio. It was the manager that passed the motor along with issues, so i'm sure most of the crew up there think's that's acceptable practice..

Good idea! I have no idea since my racing days on the 80s! San Marco machine was good and is still there, but irony know if the do rebuilds whole.

I know Mike had problems with sourcing engines for his 4Runner.
