2017 PRO FOX spring.

would these work to replace this broken spring.. i think mine are 13 in. these are 14 in.

Would they work, probably, will they ride well, maybe.

FJ and tacoma are close in weight, but the FJ had bilstiens so the springs may not ride the way you want.

I would measure your springs diameter to make sure they fit.

 

Did you take your truck into toyota? I would think they would replace that under warranty??

 

its out of warrenty, yes i called them, they said they would look at it, and evaluate it, and see how much out of pocket i would have to spend, was told i could not purchase just the spring, 1st the service guy sent me part numbers for blistein shocks for replacement, mine are fox, and i sent the photo,, lol... then he sent me a part number for coil spring for non PRO models,, i gave up on those a-holes, i have a set of Fox 2.5, 0-3 with reservoirs sitting in garage, getting put on next monday, a guy offered me 500.00 for the set of fox's the way they are,, not sure what i will do, maybe get 2 non red springs and keep as spare set, called fox, was told to call dealer,, paid 1429.00 for new Fox's, dealer said 1200.00 for one OEM if i was to pay for it .

 

If someone offered you $500 for your old ones and you already have new ones, take the money and run.

eibach has new trd pro springs coming out, but they are very delayed right now. Your looking probably 6-7 months till they eibach has the new springs ready, then your looking at a few hundred for the springs and installation of them. Plus cleaning up the bodies of your old ones and giving them a rebuild you'll have about $1k tied up into making them usable again.

 

rebuild not required, 36000 miles on them,, ill prolly keep them till eibach has replacements for mine, i saw they were working on some, put new springs on them, sell for 1000.00 easy peasy..

 

Think of it this way, the new springs are going to be around $170 (based off the 4runner spring price) plus shipping. Then the cost of having a shop put them on (unless you have a spring compressor) lets say $100 for that. so now you have about $300 invested in them just to get them to sellable condition.

You'll have to sit on them for 6-7 months where the value may go down with the 2020 trd pro suspensions coming on the used market.

You have a chance of making $200 over the $500 you got offered. I would take the $500 now and run. The cost, time and headache wouldnt be worth it for me.



BUT..... if you do keep them for the eibach springs, I would love to see how they look compared to the stock setup, take a side by side picture of one with the new spring and one with the old spring.
