Excellent idea about the tires. That's at least 3 inches.

Thanks Matt, I have ratchet straps out the wazoo.

Rob, when you get yours dialed in I'll be waiting for your install at my place*:anonymous:

*Garage has 14ft. ceiling so bring scaffolding to use for the install...and yeah I'm going with the earlier agreed payment method between @crashdb Dave and Randy...so just let me know when and how much you plan to pay me, and we can talk about access to power, water, restroom, meals, etc.:crapstorm:

 Obviously common sense stuff like, make sure those hooks are in rafters, not drywall, protect your bedside, blah blah blah.

Yeah, going on 9yr old PUPPY lab for sure...though he has contracted ecoli somehow (in his prostate and bladder originally, just reconfirmed still in his prostate...so suffice it to say he will have to get use to the adjusted trot/stride here in a month or two...) between when we left him with the in-laws on 28 December 2019 and when we got home on the 1st with our now almost 6 month old.

He's getting used to not getting as much attention throughout the day, though the lock-down working from home has somewhat spoiled or negated some of that I assume...

Funny garage story, my parents built a house back in '98 and it was on a hill sloped lot, builder/architect didn't account for that in the plans...I remember showing up in the minivan with mom, dad and sister...the garage had a 23.5ft. ceiling. One of the concrete guys jokingly said, well it'd make a good indoor basketball half courts, man did my Dad blow his top! They ended up with a finished room over garage (FROG) room, thankfully no-one in our family was over 6' otherwise you had the steel beam (wrapped in drywall) in the middle of the room ceiling!

Anyways, back to the normal Lair shenanigans and betty bob white banter.

You remind me of something that happened to me. I used to drive a tow truck and we did service for a local Cadillac dealer. The dealer also sold limos, so all the Embassies bought from them. I got a call to go help another driver out at the Japanese embassy. He was driving a roll back truck and the garage the limo was in was low clearance. I was in the wheel lift that day and went to go drag the limo out of the garage for the roll back driver. I get going into the garage and have to lower the wheel lift a little so the pointy in doesn't hit. I'm good for level one. Good for level two. What wasn't shown was that level three took a drop. I'm scooting along and feel a tug at the rear of the truck, then there's water pouring from everywhere. Then the sprinkler pipe I had just hit comes crashing down. Right onto the hood of the limo I was supposed to tow. The end.

Now that you ask..... There were two events at that job that could've inspired it. The other was way worse.

Couldn't find the newspaper article, but the story goes is I was driving a three month old rollback with a two month car on the back. The car had been at a dealer five hours away.

I was on my way back and apparently nodded off. Two lane highway and I started in the right lane. Drifited over on top of a semi. He drove into the shoulder to avoid me. I didn't come to until I bumped the semi. It scared me and I started sawing at the wheel. This put me into a sideways slide down the highway. I counter-steered which turned me the rest of the way around. By this time I had made it back across the highway to the other shoulder. I was facing the wrong way and still skidding. I also happened to be passing an exit ramp. The truck blew through the guardrail and onto an incline that leveled out at said entrance ramp. Me and the truck rolled down the hill a few times and ended up still facing the wrong way on the ramp. Right side up. I probably could have walked away. I needed a few stitches in my elbow and I had some nasty bruises.

I guess the 72+ hour work weeks driving around in DC traffic had finally caught up with me.
