wifey needs a new vehicle, i convinced her to get a 4x4 so we can hit up trails once the baby is born, or so that i can go by myself :spy:. im looking around on craigslist and have found some sweet 2003-2005 4runners 4x4, but im really liking the FJ. i was going to ask this on fj forum and a 4runner forum but guys would just vote for what they had.
i dont know anything about 4x4 fj i see some have a-trac button, and some other cool features. only thing i dont like are the half rear doors gonna suck when the kids are asleep.
i am just going to keep my prerunner clean and fix up the 4x4. whichever one i get. i need to find one quick before she changes her mind.
which would you get and why?

Everything I've heard from folks that get FJs are that they aren't great for kids.
I don't like the way they feel from the driver seat...So I'd get the 4R all day long.

The FJ Cruisers( FUCKIN JUNK Cruiser) imo SUCK. If you have the time go test drive one its one big blind spot. You would be better off getting a 4Runner they're better to have with kids

When i was young, our first Toyota was a 1993 4Runner and we kept that till about 1997~.

I was born in 93 and my parents seemed to really like it. Now...the newer 4Runners, wasnt there a year where they made V8s? I would so get that :)

i would go with the 4-runner. im no expert but a 4 runner is essentially a taco just with different body. and it appears to be a bit more spacious. again no expert

I drove one and it was exactly the same as driving my truck. I expected it to be a little more quiet and comfortable. It really has nothing to offer. IMO its the base model base model tacoma access cab without a bed. But thats my opinion and it is worthless to anybody but me.
