Hit some trails over at Wildomar OHV last weekend and my front driver side started clunking a lot when flexing and going over speedbumps. Everything seems to be fine and the only thing I can really point at are the old style SPC uca's I have on the truck so I decided to upgrade to camburg uniball uca's. Don't think I can trade them in through SPC since I purchased them used off of here. Excited for the new ones to come in.

Not super exciting, but changed my oil. Castrol Edge 5w-30 and a Toyota filter. Always used Castrol since I bought it at 36k, made the switch from conventional to synthetic around 80-85k and still going strong at 119k

My 2011 Regular Cab base model showed up yesterday!

Bringing this mod back up, has anyone done this swap on the earlier gen 2s like mine? Especially the base model. Out of all of the wheel swaps I’ve seen here, I like this one best, especially since I want to add cruise control...

Redid the layout of the roof rack. I still need to mount the Pelican Vault case and slide the ARB awning bracket up one slot.

I didn't think I'd like the recovery boards mounted horizontally but it makes a lot of sense.
The last pic was how I thought I'd want it.

Well I did the NVX myself, plus its a 3 layer construction. (butyl rubber, aluminum, closed cell foam) Dynamat is only available in 2 layer. And price per square foot is $3.49 psf for 3 layer NVX, vs Dynamat which is about $4.50 psf for only 2 layer construction. And I'm pretty sure the NVX is 1lb psf because the 20sf box (SDRF20) weighs 20 pounds

The ball joints now have zerk fittings, but they did change the design on the control arms. I have the old style with the 2 piece bushings and arms are tubular style all the way to the ball joint. Mine are bad due to rotted out bushings, blown ball joints (fourth set in 60k miles but they are non-zerk), and one of the mounting points on the driver side has a hairline fracture. I called SPC and ordered their new style with the one piece bushings, zerked ball joints, and the arms start to flatten towards the ball joint. Ordered directly through them for $629 and getting at $429 credit once I mail in my old ones, per their "trade up" (guess you could call it that) policy.

Dobinson’s coils and shocks. SOS sliders, ditch light brackets, and front skid. Rigid ditch lights. BFG KO(dos) More minor stuff.

Check Lagrange Toyota. Lagrange, GA. I’ve had good luck with them. $35 for free shipping I think.

Did a lot. Washed and clay the taco and changed out a u-joint. That u-joint has been popping since I brought it home a month and a half ago. Glad I changed it out. It's a night and day difference. Didn't realize the vibration was as bad as it was when shifting gears. Now that the vehicle has been clay barred I'm debating compounding and waxing the paint. It does look a bit tired.
