Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Considering the amount of body work my trucks going to be getting, I have seriously considered ordering the roof for factory sunroof.

It’s finding all the sunroof parts that would be costly though

With the exception of my current job every place I've worked had stupid deadlines. It gets old real quick, but it also keeps it exciting. Last place I worked we'd constantly get pulled from projects to start a super duper hot job, spend a bunch of time rushing, only to have the parts sit on a shelf for a week.

Would that be for ADD or manual hubs? Or both? I looked at a parts diagram after I finished freaking out and looks like this might only be for ADD? And mines manual hubs.

Manual hubs don't have the stub shaft so you're good.

Thanks! I’ve worried for a solid week waiting for this to get here thinking I may have to take everything apart again. Guess someone got confused.

if anyone has sent diffs to ECGS and missing parts, I may have your stub shaft and rear mount

just ordered a set of CBI ditch light brackets. not sure when they'll be here but my guess is that shipping wont take more than a couple of days once they process the order. Idaho falls is only a 1-2 day drive from seattle so i'm hoping that i'll get the brackets within a week or so. anyone have any ideas on lights? so far i'm thinking a set of Baja Designs Squadron S2 Sport combo lights. still undecided on amber or white too so any input on that is greatly appreciated.

I have both sides of the CBI ditch lights installed; the snorkel side was a major pain doing it solo.

I obtained a set of LED lights that, unbeknownst to me, are sold as close as SeaTac.
Ironically I didn't know this; so I traveled to Netherlands for work and 2hr south of Amsterdam by train and there was a local truck dealership, got a ride there and paid in Euro (90?)
and had to stuff them in my luggage back to PNW.
    DM for details.

Trimming was involved on the dorkel side:

those look nice, and at a good price too! i was looking for something a little bit lower profile though, trying to keep my visibility as unobscured as possible. I know that MULE expedition outfitters in Issaquah sells the Baja designs stuff but i don't know what they have in stock at the moment.

I considered them but i like that the s2s have the flood and the spot lights, instead of only the spot, or only the flood. curious to hear what you think about that perspective, I love how small they are, but i'm leery of the somewhat limited functionality

Not trying to come off like a dick, but I wouldn’t get too caught up in functionality with ditch lights. If you’re using them as actual ditch lights to see in the immediate area around the front of the truck, slap some floods in, angle them out, and call it good.

If you we’re planning on using them to see further out than like 15ft, I would look into mounting some lights on the front bumper.

Don’t let the analysis paralysis get to you!

Anyone else have issues with king springs rusting out quickly? I've had these for around a year and a half and my driver side spring is rusted to shit. Any thoughts on what I could do to protect my next set of springs or is this usually how long they last?20200617_164616.jpg

Nope...I'm in Socal too and my springs still look new after 3 years other than being dirty. Did you buy yours used from someone in the rust belt?

yeah, that's a really good point. I suppose i should be more specific about the purpose of my ditch lights. i'm trying to not only illuminate the immediate area around the truck, but also provide a better lit area in front of the truck. I already have lights on my bumper, but i'm trying to expand the radius of lighting (if that makes any sense). the attraction of the S2s was that they have the spot for longer range, but also have the flood lighting for the more immediate area near the truck (while still keeping a relatively low/short profile). if i was going with the S1s i'd probably go with a pair of these, or if i went with the S2s i'd probably go with a pair of these. am i off my rocker? i do really like the idea of how small the s1s are, but as you said i've got a bit of analysis paralysis:p. i'll go out after dark tonight and see how far my bumper lights reach too. it's been a little too long since i've actually had opportunity to use them.

Bought them brand new from down south Motorsports. That's why I'm confused. Maybe I got brake fluid or gear oil on them somehow

another thing that i just saw was that Baja Designs sells replacement lens kits for the S1s and for the S2s. meaning that, unless there's a differnce in the LEDs themselves (will call BD tomorrow to confirm) i could change them out and try different patterns or lenses for a relatively minimal charge. might make sense to buy a set of s2s and then order a couple of extra lenses (amber cornering, white cornering). the price is pretty much the same on them:notsure:

My experience with ditch lights and the children brackets is to get something with a more spot like or driving pattern. Flood is just going to hit the hood and bounce off.

I use mine for spotting deer on the roads most so mine are angled out but still forward pointing.

I'm going for the s1s on my DD next for ditch light.

I've spent the better part of three days getting my passenger side doors swapped out to the ones from the salvage vehicle in Florida. I first thought, heck, it's only four bolts and three electrical connections. That is until I realized that both of the new doors had issues with the latches and outside handles. My original ones were fine, so I stripped down all four doors, which takes you down to basically the shell of the door. While I was in there, I did add some of the Frost King to absorb some of the sound and take some of the tininess out of them when you close them. The frost king does a good job, and was still in perfect shape on the original doors, from about 3 years ago.

I have mine aimed to give more light to the front and sides of my truck. Basically they light up from fence to fence.
