Very true, my weight kept me from enlisting. Had a near perfect score on the asfab, outdid the recruiters on every part of their pt and smoked a cigarette during. They said they couldn’t work around the extra 20 lbs.

I just wanted to serve where I could. Maybe in the next life.

 

Yeah that sucks cuz the weight prob could have come off in basic training. The military disquals for a lot of stuff.

Well I met the minimum weight requirement of 114 for the 5’5 height but my recruiter won’t initiate anything until I reach 125 lbs or close to it at least.

 

Other than my weight, I’m all good to go. There is absolutely no signing bonuses at this time unfortunately but meh whatever I don’t really care

That's good news. Have you joined their PT group? You can do PT with them while you wait to finish the paperwork. It'll get you squared away, too. Offer to help out at the station to learn some stuff and focus on developing yourself to become an NCO. The military needs good leaders and your goal should to become the best leader in your MOS.

 

Dude it’s just one recruiter by himself. He said I could low key work out with the Marines next door but I’ll probably start a heavy diet and start lifting and conditioning with my baseball coaches

 

I've had it for years. I painted it back in 2016. It's my go-to rifle, although my AK will be my backup/ fun K.I.S.S. rifle. I need a sling and a cleaning kit for it; I want the surplus Romanian, though.

 

In my 6 month pre boot workouts I went from 130 to 162 and lost 1 inch off my waist line.

 

Good plan, but use the time right now to study Air Force specific history and development paths to make you more viable for promotion over your peers. The sooner you get ahead the game, the faster your progression, within requirements.

 

I went from 245 to 198 and when I graduated OSUT I was 179 with 12% bodyfat. Freaking jacked lol.

 

I asked my recruiters about any options for working out with a crew, they told me it wasn’t an option. That was almost 20 years ago though.
