Yup that's correct. Only TW users can see the posts in this area of the forum and it doesn't count towards post count. But I still think people could create a profile and just access it so it's not 100% stopping people from finding out but if you do that you may as well stick around haha

Meh...I was thinking something more regional.

On that note, anyone got any recommendation on cool spots to visit that aren't commercialized or well known? (like a hot spring) Tread lightly is observed.

You'd have to ask the mods about that and that seems like a good amount of work. Other than that just keeping a group chat via PM's is the only other way

Yeah. PM is kind of what I was thinking as the least amount of effort.

So back to my question, I know there is Hot Springs, NC and the springs there - at least all the ones that are google-able - are part of a resort. But that makes me think that there may be others that are more local-only knowledge.

So far, I've found Warm Springs, Lifsey Springs and Radium Springs in GA.

Warm Springs seems to be inside a museum. I don't think they'd take kindly to me walking in with nothing but boardshorts and flip-flops.
Lifsey Springs - I can't seem to find much on the actual spring location, but I found Lifsey Springs Road and Old Lifsey Springs Road. I can't seem to open any of the other websites with info. Guessing they are blocked for some reason by my company firewall.
Radium Springs near Albany seems to be a wide open pool with a park around it. Google images show some thick algae in some of the pics, so probably not the best to jump into.

Refreshing Lifsey Springs: New owner hopes to reopen spring and pool
Posted by Rachel McDaniel in Top Stories
    Friday, May 8. 2020

The water and land around Lifsey Springs have been refreshing lives for generations and the springs were opened to the community in 1875 as one of the first public swimming pools in the United States. The warm spring - one of only three in the state - and surrounding property were purchased by Ace Amerson in December 2019 and he has been working to clean up the land and restore both the spring area and the pool that was operated by the Pike County Lions Club from 1960 to 1981.

“If someone doesn’t start taking care of this now, then it is going to be destroyed,” said Ace. “My goal is to rebuild the spring and make it look like it did in 1875 and also rebuild the swimming pool and make it look like it did in 1960.”

Look what I ran across this am on my hike!
It’s the extremely rare and elusive Hogglesnort! Usually running amuck in the tall grass lands near the shire!

Some of these guys in the correct size and made of a metal that doesn’t rust. They’re all over the innards of planes.

Any suggestions on a nice firm mattress?

This TempurPedic thing is messing my back up, and I have noticed I am not in as much pain if I sleep on a hard surface.

I sleep very well in my RTT that was a 4” foam pad. Don’t need to go that extreme, but wanted to get your thoughts.

Too many to list. I’m lazy
I had the same problem a few years back. I went with a Beauty rest hybrid. It’s like a spring cooling memory foam hybrid. They have a soft medium and a firm. Not cheap but I’ve been extremely satisfied with it for about 4 years now.

I'm taking my 6 year old fishing on Allatoona this weekend. We're camping too. I want to catch fish. Don't care which, don't care what, just gotta catch something to get him into it. Any tips? Bait, time, etc?

I'm a complete novice when it comes to fishing, but I have a basic rod for me and him and a basic tackle box, and fished when I was a kid (so I know how to cast, take a fish off the rod, etc).

When I was a kid, we used chicken gizzards and weights and caught catfish fairly well that way. That still good?

When you don’t catch anything there’s always Captain D’s seafood afterward. That’s what my grandfather always did with me
