And while I'm back there I think I'm going to replace the leaf hanger to what companies make a good one I know bamf makes one

 

"Standard" duty is what they are called! Nice compromise, and less than the HD. Still bouncing around Standard Dakar, and various AAL. Toytec kit is cheaper than the Bilstein, and their AAL is 2" rear lift. I have 3 leaf rears, and I think they were replaced before me. But, they are pretty flat, which makes me lean to the Dakar.

Allpro makes good leafs too. Ran those on my old truck. Not as stiff as OME

That's not very specific. And Juju knows, when an a bell rings, and angel gets their wings!

 

If you're not adding a spare tire carrier a roof-top tent or any weight to the bed of your truck then an add a leaf to stock leaf springs will work fine

 

That would be a savings, but it's weird. I have to assume most AAL are the same, but the ToyTec online site is the only one that specs a 2" rear lift with AAL. No one else mentions any lift. I would THINK that is the ToyTec package does, the rest would too. I must be missing something. 2" and a good ride are all I want.

EDIT - ToyTec specifically calls out "ToyTec add a leaf" like they are unique to them.

And I am hitting it. Bricks await in the AM.

 

Wish I could say I was staying busy but it's been stupid lately. Eager to get started on my next project.

It can be done with the packs on the truck. I added leafs to my mom's tundy without pulling the packs. It's a pain but I found it less painful than removing and replacing an entire pack.

 

Robert (@BassAckwards) I hope you're as leak free as me without the headaches. I'm a bit behind, you tearing down an engine I presume? First one?

 

Dakars are pretty flat. Even HD's with the overload springs. Not as flat as others and they're designed to deal with negative arch but they're still pretty flat.

 

Good to know but iam gonna have to replace the center pin with a longer one cause I cut it so I could put the bump stop back on so the leaf pack gonna have to come out

 

Mine are flat all I have is a rtt on my bed I'm gonna add spare tire carrier really gonna compress them
