So I just walked past the living room window and see my raptor grille lights glowing in the driveway. What the heck is making them get power? I've got them fuse-linked into the EFI fuse so that they only work when ignition is on. Yet my truck is in my driveway, off, and locked. This is the 2nd time this month this has happened.

 

Those aren't raptor lights, they are TW notification lights. They let you know you were tagged and you need to get online.

 

Ok it’s funny you mention that. After your initial post, one time I was working in the garage, I think wiring in license plate lights? Either way the orange backlight in my lightbar was on and I’m pretty sure mines wired into EFI as well. So who really knows. This reply is 0% helpful.

Ya reckon the EFI gets power occasionally when the truck is off to keep fuel pumped up to the engine and not drain back to the tank? Just a guess?

That was my guess. Not the pump thing, but just that it occasionally gets power for some reason and is normal.

I don't know anyone who does transmissions or inspects them. Certainly not me. Sorry bro. I haven't had someone do transmission work for me since the early 1980's. Back then I only used Cottman Transmission over in Fairfax

 

Probably something for running monitors for emissions testing. Some tests are run truck off.

 

Could be. Its just odd that I've had these lights for a few years and, yet, never noticed it doing this before

 

There should be a check valve built into the pump to keep the fuel lines from draining.

I would guess that it's the evap system kicking on.

After fighting for awhile to get my light bar mounted, I drove my truck to work yesterday and hit the light bar when I got to a long lonely stretch. So much glare off the windshield and hood that I could barely see. Back to square one. I guess I need to mount the bar further back so the wind deflector will block the light some.
