Ya I can’t afford a PRS lol. I’m not near good enough to warrant another guitar purchase right now at all much less a nicer one. I was lookin potentially to find a cheap strat or tele maybe just to toy around with in addition to my ES

maybe a distortion pedal is the way you wanna go....plenty of metal options out there and cost less than guitar...

Edit: compression pedals helps too with adding a solid punch to your tone

I need to learn how to tune my amp as well too. That’d probably help. I just don’t have a lot of time and I’m still trying to learn basic guitar shit I don’t wanna spend time learning how to change shit around on the amp until I can play more consistently

    Awesome!
    Another master.
Matic did an EXCELLENT job on the baretta I just got from him
    Welcome!

Where were you this morning lol
I just tuned up a floyd rose 92 RG570 from C to standard haha
Took about an hour, got it pretty close.
Im just a rookie player but I enjoy working on my own gear and enjoy practising so much more when there are no issues.
The guy I bought it from saturday knew what he was doing, we talked tech for like 2hrs he is very knowledgeable, it was almost a shame to wreck it out and do it again.
    Good guitar adjusting times.

Oh and we love pics if you wouldnt mind sharing....

I NEVER wanted to have to sell any of mine, ever.
Had same peavy bandit before I switched to crates.
    Great amp.

    Indeed
    Big Yes

    @uplifted
He doesnt show the how but great at explaining the theory.

Srry man but this is part of the life if you want to have fun with it.

When you find your tone (sound in your head) you will want to play more.

Guitars are like bows, strings go bad, strings stretch, tunings change, setups change, I know you dont have a ton of time but if you want to enjoy it take some time and learn a little bit when you can then apply it when you can.

Some straight up luthier pros here.
    Solid advice.

    I have a question.
On my old rg there were two screws on one side of the bridge pickup that could adjust the pickup level or slanted or however.

On this one there is only up and down and the black half of the dimarzio is noticeably lower than the white half.

    Is that normal?
Ive never done a p/up swap so Im not sure if the guy set it up like this or if there is an adjustment under the p/up?

    Thanks

I really like the ESP/ LTD PB-500 for that. I bought one and tuned to C for QotSA type stoner rock. the pickups are 3-in-1, switchable between a rail and P90 single coil and both together for a nice midgain humbucker. mix that with a body part way between an LP and a Strat... it's a great guitar that should be in the 4-500$ range used.

Appreciate the insight! Sadly another $500 guitar won’t pass the seal of approval from the girl  maybe one day when I can play a couple songs in their entirety

Wanna sell any for cheap :D

I can’t justify buying another guitar right now though. I need to get a lot better before anymore guitar purchases haha

The guy says it had bill lawrence pu's and its mounted at an angle to match the string drop towards the neck and the springs just make it do that.

Couple of toothpicks took care of the over exaggerated extreme angle, for now.
Broken off you cant even see them hardly.
Hey this things thrashed anyways, er I mean shes got character and a great personality.
The dimarzio sounds awesome at drop d with that and a height adjustment.

    Pretty close to the duncan.
