What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Got out and went hunting for a camping spot to take the girlfriend to this weekend. Found a couple cool spots.

 

A little taco content to make it legit, but I've been playing in the mountains for the past week.

 

Im so busy at work I can't hardly remember what day it is. Reduced staff and getting slammed with orders plus brewing beer. I was so tired I fucked up yesterday and added an extra 55lbs of pilsner , grain, to a recipe and we had to scramble to adapt. It worked out but I don't like making mistakes. Now we have a mixed order of like 14 pallets of wine to go out in the next week 60 cases per pallet and we don't have it all bottled plus the supply train is so out of whack it's taking forever to get supplies.
I need more tools and have needed a layout table for a while just never seems to be enough space. I still don't like welding in the garage attached to the house but I don't have much choice.
Any updates on the kiddo? How is momma feeling?

 

Damn that’s a hell of a mistake but glad you adapted. Wife’s good, nice and prego. Found out we’re having a boy, which is exciting.

Congrats. Boys are great (most of the time) - today was one of those great times here in northern MN with my 21 year old. I got him into fishing and he got me into the Tacoma.

 

That’s awesome. I look forward to many father-son moments together. It’s our first kid so it’s a whirlwind.

 

New battery, watched it hit 100,000 on the way home. time for more maintenance!

This bumper would look kick ass on any truck (though I’m super biased). She’s already sold though. Someone told me like 8 months ago if I ever sell it, he wants it. Well he wasn’t kidding and now he’s buying it haha

 

Oh well. Haha, I need a better front skid and to finish my hi lift set up in my bed first.

 

Finished the pole by coating it black and going out to take some photos.

 

I had a similar issue with my 2009 and all I had to do was remove that plastic cap next to the shifter n click that button as I shifted down to reverse. I believe it has something to do with a cable . Try it next time it happens.

 

Got out on some more fireroads today with an old friend - had a great time! Got a little muddy and put a few racing stripes on her. The truck, that is.

I’ve been looking to do this to all of my trim for a while now. You’ve motivated me to finally get it done.
Almost looks moldy and pitted at the same time but as you can see in my pics, not all of the rubber has aged the same way. Definitely looks like shit and needs to be replaced ASAP.

 

I understand that concern. I have it as well. Where I live nobody would really bother the truck. But if I drive an hour and a half north or south I could see it happening. That being said I keep it locked but know that only keeps out an honest thief.
