How big/deep are the dents? They shouldn't effect anything.

Same issue here and just bought mine. Used it one weekend so far and re adjusted my shell rack to work better off road and rounded out the dang aluminum sliders with the bolt head. Tepui is sold out of mounting hardware and I’m sending pics for the warranty process to get new hardware but is their certain recommended hardware upgrade people
    Are doing ?

Wtf for almost 2k you think this would be better thought out and replaced without question when called in or extra sent initially. Got mine through REI and they dont have in stock and either does tepui. I cant Get the aluminum pieces anywhere but can upgrade bolts and nuts i guess. Might go back to my unistrut options for tracks and mounting to prinsu.

I did the same thing to mine as well. What I did to 'fix' it was grab the bolt with a pair of vise grips and then tighten down the nut. Maybe you are able to do the same? At least to get you by until new hardware is available.

I ended up get a steel plate cut to size just a flat piece and welded the bolt to said plate and no issues.

I just purchased a Kukenam 3 ruggedized. Does anyone have tips to get it to close up more compact so the cover goes on easier? Pulling the rain fly poles out of the pockets helps a little. I run the 4 bungees across the inside to help pull the sides in.

As you're folding it try to lift the "accordion" apart (hope that makes sense) and tuck as much material as possible in neatly. Eventually it will break in and get easier but it's a bitch at first.

Thanks. Yea it’s getting easier but there seems to be a better way. I’ll keep working at it, I’ve only had it a few days and probably opened and closed it 6 times. It’s a beast of a tent, cant wait to use it.

Hi Everyone, new here. I have a 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro. I’d like to get set up for a tepui mounted over the bed. Can anyone point me to the right thread or explain what all is needed in terms of mounting and what not?

Welcome! You could skim this thread and start from there, or go thru peoples builds and find what you like.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-rtt-owners-thread-with-bs.312269/

But basically you need a bedrack that mounts to your bed and then throw the tent on top

Thank you, appreciate the help. I did some research on here last night and it looks like the CBI or KB VooDoo rails will work best. I like the CBI ones the best so far. I only plan to use them for the RTT. If anyone recommends and other minimal racks/rails please let me know.

Must have made the mistake of putting the Kukenam away slightly damp. Popped it open for an upcoming trip and covered in mildew .

    any advice?

also likely need to get a new travel cover for it. How do I tell if it’s a kukenam 3 or 4? Can’t remember off the top of my head.

Sorry, can't help you on the mildew.

I believe they're still doing a swap for your old cover and the new one costs you $150. They were doing that at last years Tepui Fest and you got a backpack made from the recycled covers along with the deal.

For the mildew you can try a bleach and water combo, obviously more water than bleach. That's what I did and it killed it, or just ask people in the RTT thread, they'll know

It seems this thread is a little dead..

But does anybody know if the replacement canopies with the zipper gimp setup are compatible with the pre-2017 tent bases?
