2020 Tacoma Navigation system

I’ve used the satnav a dozen times and it’s been hilariously wrong twice. First was a winery where it put me smack dab into a residential neighborhood and the other was taking me to a Walmart that was apparently closed for close for quite sometime.

Those other 10 times were fine though.

Still, prefer utilizing CarPlay.

 

Is there a way to get android auto to start automatically when you plug it in? I started using the map button but my Murano just starts automatically after it’s plugged in.

 

Does anyone know if you can connect a Garmin GPS via usb to the head unit and get topo maps on the screen?

 

No, you can only view the standard Toyota map, Android google map or Apple maps.

 

Gaia GPS has Carplay support now as well if you want Topos

First time, long time. Will take delivery of my 21 OR in two days! I have decided the best solution is to just buy an old fashioned Garmin gps for the times I take the roads less traveled.

So my maps button says go to toyota.com but idk what to look for.
