If there isn't an OVtune sub forum there should be. Would make it easier for guys to find info on this stuff.

@Joe.Dirt i know there's a monster/mega thread about OVTune however its been washed out with side track conversations as well as everyone talking about how great it is and their build. Only reason I started this one as to avoid the clutter and get the info I was looking for.

@Joe.Dirt well if this isn't taken down I will be up dating the status of my build as well as on this page just to keep with what I've learned and possible info that might help. As of now either next week of the following week I will be purchasing my Lift cant really snug 33's under the stock suspension, next will be wheels and tires followed with the regear I might switch that around and go with the regear before 33's we will see.

Then 100% go with 5.29's, top priority.

People have put 5.29's on with stock tires and had fantastic results.

I figured since I do tow from time to time and spend a lot of time climbing to higher elevations I will probably get the 5.29's.

He has a trial tune out now that I am running for 5.29s and the truck is perfect. When 2.0 final drops, soon, the tune will be available to purchasers and I cannot recommend it enough.

I am also running ovtune right now with stock tires and just jumped in on the socal group by for some nitro 5.29's. Thinking about either getting 265/75 or some 33's. I can't find many options on 33's in load C for a 16 inch rim. Anybody have any suggestions on that?

I am currently running the 1.05 tune and very close to pulling the trigger on 5.29 gears as well. And same issue when trying to read through the OVtune thread..... just to much noise to find any answers in there. Do any of you know it works if I already have the OVtune and then Re-gear? I have the older Ovtune system with the dongle. Can I just re flash with the beta 2.0 and be good to go? I wish OVtune hired a customer service tech to answer phone calls or have an online chat feature.

It should. I am not familiar with the whole dongle thing. I know there are some upgrade options. If you have the ability to update to 2.0 with the dongle, then you can change to the 5.29 file. He has since come out with a much more refined 5.29 file and it is freakin awesome. If you are considering doing gears, just do it. You wont regret it.

Didn’t read the comments, so don’t get on me

I have OV and have 5.29. Zero issues here. I’m running 2.0 beta 5.29, pretty good tune so far. Towed my pop up this weekend with a bed full of things and truck did great. F27DE7A0-CC48-4830-80DA-4C4948EDC5CB.jpg
