Oil change intervals?
Any DTC’s?
Did you pull the plugs and look?

 

Oil is good I changed the less then 2 months ago
Drained the oil it’s still clean nothing in it
Plugs are brand new too
I was gonna pull the oil pan off to see but found a new engine so I’ll just swap it out and be done with it
No check engine light I scanned it and nothing comes up

 

Weird! Keep us posted if you decide to open it up any further.

I was cruising along at about 65-70mph up a slight grade, coming out of Issaquah on I90 EB about 1/2 mile after the swedish exit/onramp. It got low on power and started to lose speed so I naturally put my foot into it and then poof smoke and steam and dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Mine shit the bed with 185k on it. I thought I was hearing a timing chain tick, but it was actually a silent knock for about 8 months leading up to the night she blew.

How much and where did you get your new engine from?

 

damn I was on i90 aswell going about same speed Similar story except nothing went through the block on mine
My engine was ticking since day one and at the dealer they told me it’s normal I bought my truck brand new so I thought it might be normal after 25k miles it got louder
there might have been an issue since day one but who knows
I got my engine in Oregon for 2200 no tax and the guy will help me swap it out he is a mechanic he said it’s a fairly easy job

 

Yeah it's actually pretty straight forward and looks intimidating, but it went pretty easy for me. It took longer for me to find a decent price on a decent motor than it did to swap it out.

 

Id just leave the keys in it if I were you. They'll probably still break the window and take nothing.

 

They don't call it Spocompton/Spokanistan for nothing.

Pre-ban baofeng

 

Are they really "pre-ban" when you can still buy them the same as always lol

 

I know, they keep selling them but I've seen the FCC documents saying no you can't. Baofeng also has a IP67 waterproof version I might grab.

I'm adding a analog/digital DMR soon. I guess you can set up encrypted comms with it.
