2013, for years now it has had to turn over for ages before it finally cranks. 5 seconds or so. Can smell raw fuel when it finally does crank. After it's been cranked, you can cut it off and it usually will fire right up with no pause. Wait a bit and it's slow to crank again. It's almost as if it's losing prime?

Not a battery issue. It turns over for 5-6 seconds before firing up.

I'll also add, I'm in dirt roads all the time.. a few years back, the truck got to where it wouldn't take fuel any more. I learned that Toyota has a breather for the gas tank that is on the end of a metal tube, clamped around the end of the filler neck. It was completely full of dirt and the gas tank couldn't vent pressure. to fix it I cut the tube and made a new one that has a filter I can blow out / replace.

I don't know if that can shed light onto the issue, I'm just adding it because I know fuel tank pressure / breathability issues can cause funky issues with modern rides.

I would also check for injectors leaking down, losing prime as it sits at extended times. Does the oil have a heavy gas smell?

My nose has been broken and abused so many times, I find it hard to smell things like that - but I will ask someone else to smell it. I just had it changed, so I doubt it will right now. I will say that it looked great after 8k miles, so I don't think it had a lot in it if any.

How does one check injectors for leaking down? I am super busy right now so if it's an involved process it'll have to wait

Not sure of process to check injectors. And it only takes one to leak and lose prime. Ask Jimmyh he would know.

I honestly don’t know if this would do any good.
But we had an old farm Jeep that would leak down.
If you turned the key on, then off, then on again. (As in double prime)
It started a lot better. No idea what the problem was for sure.
I only worked the farm in the summers (Great Uncle’s) no idea where the Jeep went or if he ever fixed it.

It’s worth a shot. I don’t see what it could hurt?

It might be your check valve in your fuel pump is going bad and it is losing prime. Had a similar issue after installing a walbro 255 in mine and adding an inline check valve to the fuel line solved the issue.
