No, not plastidip. It’s close, though haha. Duplicolor removable wheel paint in onyx black

Looks good! I have been thinking about doing the same thing with Plasti dip, what made you choose the Duplicolor, just the color?

Thank you!! I have never used plasti dip but I will tell you that the duplicolor I used is about perfect. No runs and it went on super easily.

I wanted to do a little bit more of a “high-end DIY” than plasti dip. I’ve read a lot that plasti dip has a texture to it and I wanted my wheels to have a smooth finish so I researched a ton and decided on duplicolor. It’s the removable series so I felt comfortable giving it a go.

I've been thinking of doing this myself. Is the finish gloss, satin or matte?

I’ll let you know when it’s cured tomorrow. It should be more on the gloss side I do believe

Thank you! It’s worth the 12 bucks a kit at oreillys to give it a shot. I’m replacing the center caps tomorrow and either leaving the Toyota emblems chrome or painting them a different color. Not sure yet

I was thinking of painting the rims black and then the emblems red just because I love the TRD Pro wheels that are black with the red TRD in the center. Of course you could always get the center cap overlays off eBay or etsy.

I was thinking about getting the pro overlays. Thank or painting my Toyota emblems red. I think red will be the 3rd color on the white and black scheme. Either way I think it’ll look awesome bud

These look outstanding. I had the thought today about doing this to mine and low and behold I log on here and see your post. I just have concerns about long term longevity but good prep will definitely help with that. Plus you can always touch them up. I think I may have to do this to mine. The more I see the stock wheels the more I hate the shiny aluminum part!

I wonder if you could have them powder coated? They look so good, I wouldn't mind spending some money on them.
