    My shit is all stock.
It’s in development. That’s what they told me. I swear it. He didn’t want to give me any sort of time frame. I’m betting we’ll see something at SEMA this fall.

Hi, I am new to the Tacoma and boosted engine scene so I am not that well informed about them yet. My 05 Tacoma came supercharged and I forgot what size pulley it has on right now. I want to get a bigger one for better MPG and to extend the longevity of the engine. I really don't need to be running 10lbs of boost on stock internals, and I don't need a big pulley since it is my daily driver. Is there any way you guys could tell me what size pulley it is from the pictures?
    TIA! image0 (1).jpg image0.jpg

Welcome to the group. Looks like you have a 2.5” pulley, but you could measure it with a tape measure or possibly calipers. Whomever had it before you spent some time in this thread that’s for sure. Looks like a quick change pulley, so you can reach out to smoothflow pulleys for a cheap pulley the size of your choice. Good luck.

What are you expecting for MPG? Depending on the rest of the truck may not be that much different but you could go up to a 2.8, swap the belt. If its a 2.5 you will need to get it retuned. @JustDSM can help you with that as most likely they did it with HP tuning.

I'm a 6-speed on 255/85R16s and am waiting on a delivery from ECGS. I went with 4.56s even though I know I'll be slightly overgeared. I'm not hauling ass on the highway (max 70ish) so my rpms should be approximately 2700-2900. I'm pretty heavy and not aerodynamic so I'll take the low end for some slightly higher revs on the highway. I considered 4.30s for a short time but the difference in rpm from 4.56s was only 150-200 at 70mph.

Same here, not really doing high highway speeds, its a lifted brick so there's really no point. Again id rather have it down low where I will be using it.

Another good option. It would require reducers to get into the 2.25" diameters.

Yup. 3rd Gens first. Once they saw what OV Tuned was doing with their tuning for the Tacoma, they knew, as well as others, that there was an open market. No easy tuning solution, no market.

Yeah I’m still in between. Getting new gears from ecgs only gives you the option of 4.10 or 4.56. The only way to get 4.30 is to get them off a 4cyl Tacoma, which I do t know how I’d acquire that. I know 4.10 with 285’s gets the truck back into the stock feel of when it had the original 265’s on

Not sure what you were looking at, but ecgs does offer 4.30 for our trucks with the 8” and e-locker. Your info says you have a tx Baja which should mean that’s what you got.

Thank you. I’ll go measure it and see what it is. I didn’t think about that. If it is a 2.5, why would there be a 70.2 inch belt on it? I think that is the part number on the belt. On the first page of this thread it said a 2.5 inch pulley needed a 69.5 inch belt I think.
