Upgraded to JBA upper control arms and OME Heavy duty leaf springs. So much happier than when I did the AAL. I’m pretty sure I blew out my stock leaf springs. E424C54D-CCFF-4327-8AC5-B948D665D656.jpgBefore at st Augustine FL

Forgive the layperson question here, but is there a distinct advantage to going stage 2 over stage 1? I know we've talked about different spring rates, I'm aware of the ability to adjust the stage 2.... beyond that is there some other advantage?

One advantage is that Eibach seems to be producing the stage 2. They most certainly are not filling orders on Stage 1... Every two weeks they say two more weeks.

The shock body is larger, they’ve adjusted the valving which makes for a better, smoother ride.

On my drive to work this AM, I noticed that in areas of the road where I felt little bumps/dips with my Stage 1, the Stage 2 really absorbed all those bumps/dips that much better and I didn’t feel them as much. Stage 2 really feels even more “planted” on the road.

Even my brother was like “damn, this rides a lot smoother” on our way to get some In N Out last night :D

If OEM is good, Stage 1 is better, Stage 2 is best.

Don’t get me wrong tho, I’ve really enjoyed my Stage 1, the best bang for buck lift kit on the market imo

Patdeezy obviously has first hand experience so its nice to get this feedback from him. However, Eibach must need to train their “sales team” answering their phones then, because the guy I spoke to there said they main advantage of the stage 2 is the adjustability, and that was really about it. He told me they were valved the same and didn’t even mention it has a larger shock body, which is a pretty big deal IMO. I know were in the middle of some crazy times right now, but how can Eibach not put out some information that compares the two set ups?! I keep waiting to get more info on these but it just isn’t coming. About to lose my patience and go with the Bilstein 6112/5160 combo. Always liked Eibach stuff on previous vehicles.

Thanks, I hope I can provide good enough feedback for you guys. It’s tough to actually put into words how any of these aftermarket parts feel lol.

Visually, the shock body looks larger to me, I could be wrong tho. When I find out more info from Eibach, I’ll be sure and pass it along to you guys

All stock other then 32 inch tires.
I'm just curious how much better they are over the stage 1 setup.

Me too because Stage 1 is freakin’ awesome. If I remember correctly, Stage 2 is considerably more expensive and doesn’t come with rear shocks.

it's about double the price with the sport rear shocks. it's actually not that bad compared to the competition...

Can anyone talk me out of purchasing a King stage 2 kit and getting these instead? I know King's are amazing but if these are just as good for cheaper then I'll definitely pull the trigger.

Are you racing in the Mint 400, King of Hammers, or sending your truck off a cliff/sand dune? If your answer is no, then these should be just fine, lol.

Literally at Will Call picking them up...

Strong argument. As long as I can crawl up some difficult trails with ease then I'd gladly save $1500 and get these instead.

With that said...when all is said and done, I'm gonna be looking at about 800lbs of extra weight. Stage 2 and dakar heavy leafs should do the trick for a 2.5inch lift

So for the stage 1 kit, is anyone running a 285/75/16 WITH stock upper control arms?
I asked on the tire size I think at one point but cant remember about UCAs.
Also, did any of you guys change out your upper control arms when doing this kit or do you wish you would have?
