Well that’s where I’m wondering if the 3rd gen 6112’s may give a slight but more lift on a 2nd gen given they are lighter.

I’ve read that 2nd gen 6112’s on a 3rd gen maxed out is only about 1.5”. So assuming 3rd gen 6112’s on a 3rd gen maxed out is a little over 2”, I would assume that on a 2nd gen it would lift it the same measurement going one clip setting less. There’s by giving a little more even travel and less of of a chance of coil binding.

That's them. I got them in black.

If you're not sure, give Wheeler's a call - great customer service.

i'm running the RXT's at option #2 with the B110's which are a great bang for the buck shock, & allows the extra droop offroad.
could not be happier with the ride...only just a tad stiff unloaded for DD, but tire pressure can help. put the RTT on...butter.
mine squeaked somewhat after a good while & before doing anything about it. i jacked it up by the frame to let leaves droop & doused between the leaves with fluid film (2 passes)...they have been quiet since

Got my 6112s and UCAs installed yesterday. Can anyone comment on how they did with the alignment?

I am running much lower caster - pretty near stock.

With that much caster, does your wheel return to center on its own when you come out of a turn?

Alignment looks good. 3-4 caster is what most shoot for so they don’t rub

Yeah it till comes back to center. My commute is only about two miles but this weekend I'll take it out and get a better feel for the improvements.

Stupid question. But are the 6112/5160 ext length shocks. Or are they the same as stock. Kinda regretting not just spending money on Kings. But I don’t even have the 6112s installed yet

Depends on what you want to do. For the front, they would be fine either way, but for the rear, I have heavy dakars and they are fine. If you are doing a rear shock relocation than the 5160's will not be long enough. For normal stock purposes you will be fine.

I’m not doing any relocating of mounts for a long travel or “mid” travel setup. But more down travel is nice like king and fox add. So are the Bilsteins ext travel or no?

Theyre a little longer than stock, or say 5100's. I m not sure I would call them extended travel.

Edit: This is fro 2nd gen. Third gen may be different?

Planning on putting on the 6112/5160's with a Dakar medium leaf springs on notch 5/4 to give me about an inch and quarter lift. What else do I need?

Questions I have for the group is how much did you pay to have these installed in SoCal? If I could do this myself I would but I lack the tools and quite honestly don't trust myself.

If you have everything that goes along with the install, like longer ubolts for the dakars, and the carrier bearing drop, the only other thing that I could say to be a good thing to get is the ecgs bushing. Other than that, an aftermarket UCA will give you more articulation and more caster options for a bigger tire, but not 100% necessary.

What would ecg bushing do and benefit from? For UCA's I don't believe I'll need them quite yet but I do have slightly larger tires 265/70/17.

You should be fine with the stock UCA with the 265 tire. The ECGS bushing replaces the needle bearing in the from driverside differential. With more added lift, there is more added play in the front driver side driveshaft. This can and mostly does cause a slight clunking or vibration in the front end. By replacing this, it eliminates this vibration possibility.
