Been driving Tacomas for a while now. Finally joining Tacomaworld. Got a few ideas for the “new” truck I’ll need advising on from you all.

Just a little about the truck- I bought this from my brother who maintained the truck very well. He bought it new back in 2015 and put only 35k miles on it. He did just recently buy the wheels off a 3rd gen takeoff and paired them with 265/75/R16s. The truck originally came with the OEM black Baja wheels which he didn’t like so he had the dealer swap them for other stock wheels at the time of purchase. I am however a fan of the Baja wheels so I’ve been keeping an eye out for them.

Other than that, my brother added a few extras to basically make it into an SR5; intermittent windshield wipers, cruise control, backup cam, new rear view mirror.

I do have a few plans of my own for the truck. I’ve already decided to replace the stock shocks with Bilstein 5100s all around. The front with be paired with the OME 883 spring. The rear I’m going to leave with just the new shock and stock leaf pack. I’d like to see how it looks and rides before deciding whether or not I want to do an aal. Biggest thing for me is to maintain driveshaft angles while raising the truck just slightly (at most about an inch) and making it a more capable off-road truck. I live in the country off a dirt road and I also enjoy getting out to remote areas. However I don’t do anything very extreme.

Nice clean 15  Welcome. Reminds me of my old yoter, when it was clean and unmolested. I am a fan of the access cabs
