If the mullet were a porch appliance, it would be one of those blue glowing bug zappers from the 1980s.

Why do you have a mullet at your farm, and how do you listen to it?

I used to love the one on the porch at the house growing up, especially when the big bugs got hung and it just kept zapping.

    Head unit. That's it.

Their products are hit and miss for me.

For example: The VRP product we've been discussing is really good. Like, it hits all the metrics I want a tire dressing to do. However, the waxes and other products (cleaners, shampoos, etc.) leave a bit to be desired for my personal vehicles. Also, when I'm detailing a customers vehicle, my main goal (other than getting it obnoxiously clean) is to get it done FAST.

Chem Guys has a "Lightning" carpet shampoo. The problem is, its not Lightning Fast. As a matter of fact, Simple Green actually works faster and better, but smells pretty strong.

Now I'm utilizing Meguiar's interior shampoos and while the smell isnt as putrid as Simple Green, it works really well, really quickly with less effort. Tons of suds and chemical action.

Basically, when people come to me wanting their car detailed, but dont want to spend the money on good products, I use Chem Guys waxes. It is still a quality wax that is easy to apply and remove and provides a better end result than the typical AutoZone/Advanced Auto/O'Reilly's offerings. (Yes, I know those locations sell Chem Guys products...)

When people come to me and care about their paint and clear coat, I use other products. Typically, the results are better and they last a few months (if not more) longer. They are more "telling" and "forgiving" as well. So I get much more feedback as a detailer from better, more expensive products.
