You know....


Errbody likes to poke fun at the old southern culture thing with the "cousin toucher", "didnt finish high school", "hillbilly", "Redneck", "ROW TAHD", toothless stuff.


However, people in the south get in a hurry for absolutely NOTHING. (Even tornadoes in Alabama.)

They life a slow life, may not be rich in finance but rich in tradition and family.


As I continue the rat race of industrial United States, I find myself sometimes jealous of the folks in this country (predominantly in the southern areas) who are clueless to the madness that happens every minute in the country. They are unaware of the strife of life in corporate America.

No, their house isnt in a magazine. Their vehicles are enough to get em from point A to point B. They dont have the fanciest clothes or electronics.


They have a killer front porch, amazing conversations (that end in someone peeing their pants quite often) and a much tighter knit community of people who they can count on and take care of.


Today is obviously one of those days for me to be jealous. Here I am, trying everything I can to make an extra buck....sending out emails and cold calls and basically what feels like begging for attention from buyers, purchasing departments and prospects alike. "Hurry, faster, better, more."

For what?


I wanna sit on my front porch sipping sweet tea (or bourbon, scotch, moonshine...hell, water) and enjoy the weather.....Go fishing for a bit.....


Why the fuck am I in this rat race? To be able to buy shit I dont need to impress people I dont like ( and likely they dont like me...)? Credit George Carlin....


Ok. Y'all can discuss, or ignore. Just wanted to get the thoughts and frustration out of my noggin for the day.

 

I felt this in my soul. I have said to my wife a couple of times that all I want to do is raise animals and plants enough to feed us and have a hobby that makes enough $$ to buy toilet paper.

 

So, a CNC machine keeps crashing at work! Maintenance keeps fixing it and asks them to write a sign and post what not to do to keep the machine from crashing!

They do this!

Today the machine crashes again and they run to maintenance and ask why! Even bringing in a head honcho manager!

I’m in the office talking to the maintenance guys and they storm in and go ballistic!

Head maintenance guy goes did you post the sign? They say “Yea in English AND Spanish!”

Straight faced no hesitation... he responds... “What about Dumbass’ish?!”

True story!

 

Let me know if you'd like a nice big label with pretty colors to grab attention.


I can put an adhesive on the label that will basically make it part of the machine forever.

I show, tell, and demonstrate the same thing to people every day and they will still find a way to fuck it up.

So woke up and checked my mail. My car insurance sent me a check for “staying at home.” Makes me wonder what else is have thrown away. Bc I typically don’t open their mail.
