    What comms are people using? I have a baofeng and a couple walkie talkies.

    They can be set to the same channels/frequencies

    I have a couple Beofengs and a CB. I would be back tracking 21 miles to meet in Wooley but can fall in when you guys pass through Birdsview.

    @PacNW_Taco

    I am going to be meeting up with you guys in Cashmere on the 5th and will most likely depart from the group on the 8th instead of staying another night on section 1.

    We will have to meet up before hand so I can get you the tent.

    I have 2m/1.25m/70cm & CB onboard the truck, and I usually have two other HAM handhelds with me. I think I still have some FRS/GMRS talkies floating around, and will have to dig them up.

    Did I read correctly there are other InReach users on the trip? Happy to share my contact info ahead of time and test comms any time - might be handy as I am planning to meet y'all on the 5th.

    Be aware that Eastern WA is starting to get red flag warnings for fire danger so we need to be mindful when we camp on what fire danger is and recommend we carry water specifically for ensuring that any fires we do have we put them out

    Heads up, USFS just posted this on FB referencing construction near Winthrop/Twisp on US FS roads. I haven’t checked to see it any of the route is impacted.

    Just out of curiousity, how intense is the WABDR? Is it something that can be run pretty casually like a fire road or does it require a bit more planning and equipment like you guys are using? I have a pretty much stock TRD TX so it has some stock off road goodies and tires but is not a built rig by any stretch and not a whole lot of off road experience or budget to break things...
