Ride quality is subjective, however the stock valving that comes in Fox 2.5 Coilovers is too soft. Also, depending on how much weight in accessories has been added, it may be even worse. We cater to what the customer wants and how they will be driving the truck mostly. We really do change the valving in every shock before it gets sent out. With adjusters like you mentioned, the customer can also fine tune the shocks to perform better on or off-road, or towing etc... Since its a free service we offer when you buy direct, its really a no brainer. In addition to that, we are offering 25% off rebuilds when the time comes. Feel free to shoot us a direct message if you have any more questions

so this would mean 2 inch's of lift on the 3rd gens, with about 2 inches of threads showing, ? because you have a 2nd gen

i have seen so many differant answers when it comes to the preload, im getting ready to have mine put on my 3rd gen. this member has his set at 2.9 in. and got 2.75 of lift after settling. im looking at around 1 3/4 in to 2 in. max . for myself, i have preload at 2 1/4, but not sure if i will keep it before install, still looking for answers
for every inch of threads = 1 inch of lift ..?humm

I was planning on getting Bilstein 5100s all around on my 2016 crew cab limited with 80,000 miles in her.

It’s a daily driver & I tow a toy hauler, but never go off road.

I’m not interested in lift & have stock sized tires.

What Fox set up do y’all recommend that is comparable to the 5100s?

TRD Pro's will run around 3100.00 front and rear.. you probably will need a Pro VIN to purchase a set, from what ive read..

Hey guys, just wanted to post some pics up after the install. FOX 2.5's all the way around with ICON RXT leafsprings in the back and some SPC's in front. Install went fairly smooth, didnt adjust the preload as they pretty much nailed it. Thanks again, @AccuTune Offroad.

Yes, I ordered 650lb springs for @AccuTune Offroad to install in fear that the 600's would sag. Read alot of horror stories with OME. Haha

Threads showing does not equal preload.

How much thread is showing if you measure them just out of curiosity? I would say its pretty common to have the driver side showing more than the passenger side to compensate for the all to known taco lean but each vehicle seems to get different results. Just make sure you have the preload ring set screw facing out when you install them so when you do have to adjust it will be easier for you . Mine has more showing on driver than passenger side and has no lean either way. I have had to adjust after some settling but it isn't difficult and I'm happy it stays looking level, even though It is close to half an inch of rake like factory but still sits really nice when I haul or load up the bed.

My puppy was inspecting my work, but that’s the best pic of preload out of the box.

I have 2.0 with resis in the rear, and the resi clamps to the shock body. I have had the shock rotate a couple times so that the hose rubs on the Rear tire. Anyone have a solution to this?

    Hey all
I'm looking for opinion on which length fox 2.5's for my truck.Should I get the 0-1.5" lift or 1.5"-3.0"? I plan on adding the Archive Garage Hangers and unbolt flip with yellow bumps tops next after shocks are installed. I have the Icon AAL ad a leaves with stock rear springs ready to install once I get the rear shocks. I just installed some Fox 2.5's with Resevoirs and Built Right UCAs to the front last week. They were preowned but freshly serviced. Any advice on where to purchase would also be welcome. There is a local shop that wants $1,299 + tax for the ones with adjusters. I do want the adjusters for the rear. That is a decent price, but wanted to see if you guys have someone that kicks us TW guys a deal. Im willing to pay cash. I live in San Diego. Feel free to PM me if info needs to stay confidential. Happy Fathers day to all who walk that walk...
